When you are a Christian that means you have accepted Jesus into your heart as lord and saviour of your soul and give your life over to Him. Ask him to forgive your sins. When this happens, you become "born again". In my opinion, being born again MAKES you a TRUE Christian. You can't have one without the other. Some people of faith in different religions are becoming Christians too but still following the rituals of their "religion". Being a born again Christian means that you love Jesus and follow His teachings. For those who have never read his teachings, you should. He was a great man who wrote a great "lifemap" for all of us. Start in the new testament and read as far as you can go. You'll be amazed.

Born-again Christians believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and that He is the only way to Heaven. Some people add to this by saying you need to be baptized to be born again.

Not really sure there are "plain Christians," because to be a Christian you need to believe Jesus is the Son of God anyway.

Born again Christians are the ones chosen by God and are spirit anointed. These are the ones with a heavenly hope while other true Christians have a hope of living forever on a restored paradise earth. There are only 144,000 anointed to go to heaven to serve as priests and associate kings in the heavenly kingdom, and they will rule over the earth during Christ's thousand year reign.

There are all different types of "Born Again Christians" and most Christians who live their faith believe that they are born again ,whether by infant baptismal regeneration, public confirmation of the decision to follow Christ as Lord and Savior,an emotional or calm response to an
"Altar Call",an experience of Confession, "Believer's Baptism",all or some of the above or something completely different.

"Christians" can refer to any belief system which adheres to Christ as being a holy person. so technically, this can include JWs, pantheists, Mormons, Agnostics, Muslims or Bahai who believe all monotheists are correct and even Buddhists if they want.

"born again" refers to following what Christ said about how you gain a relationship with God. Born agains are 9/10 times Trinitarian.

I'd have to go with the latter. that's what Jesus said, and it makes no sense to call just any old persona a Christian.

Born agains are Christians. You become a Christian when you are born again.

Born again Christians believe all they have to do to be saved is say the sinners prayer and that all of their sins are forgiven for ever more. But that is not truth. Salvation is an on going process not a one time thing. Salvation must be worked on daily. To be born again the way Jesus speaks in the bible one MUST be baptized to be born again, not just say a prayer.

John 3
1There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

2The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

"As the Bible says, I am already saved (Rom. 8:24, Eph. 2:5–8), but I’m also being saved (1 Cor. 1:8, 2 Cor. 2:15, Phil. 2:12), and I have the hope that I will be saved (Rom. 5:9–10, 1 Cor. 3:12–15). Like the apostle Paul I am working out my salvation in fear and trembling (Phil. 2:12), with hopeful confidence in the promises of Christ (Rom. 5:2, 2 Tim. 2:11–13)."

Born again basically means you tell people you are born again all the time.

2nd Question:

FAQ: Are "Swedenborgians" Christians?

In the Swedenborgian denomination of the Christian Church, Jesus Christ is the "I AM" or God Himself in a visible body.

"For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily." -- Colossians 2:9

"Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?" -- John 14:9

"Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you Before Abraham was, I AM." -- John 8:58

In the Swedenborgian denomination of the Christian Church, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is the Good, the Truth and what comes forth from the marriage of Good and Truth, or the two elements of God and the resultant action, just like the soul, the body and the works in a single person. Emanuel Swedenborg did not start a church, produce a new Bible, or claim to have written scripture. Instead, Swedenborg claims to have been allowed to write down angelic wisdom in a new and more accurate doctrine for the Christian Church. This doctrine or "Universal Theology of the New Church" seeks to prove through reason and good interpretation that Jesus Christ is indeed the King of kings and Lord of lords who alone can enlighten individuals as to Jesus Christ's (or God's) sovereignty and divinity. Only the Lord Jesus Christ can instruct mankind from the Bible (for the books that are scripture in the Bible see above) and the Lord appears to mankind in truth from the Word.

"Swedenborgians," as all Christians do, acknowledge that the Word [or Bible] is holy and that the Lord possesses the divine, and these two are essentials of the Christian church. See Divine Providence n. 256 [3].

There is no difference, strictly speaking. Born again means
having accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior and includes
a promise to follow His teaching and example. Christian
means a follower of Christ. A deeper understanding would
only come with extensive study of the Bible. I hope you do.
