-- almost a two thirds of population present with it, predisposes to almost every heart disease including heart failure, MI, aortic aneurisms, atrial fibrillation, and cerebral disease like stroke, cerebral aneurism, renal failure...
-- is asymptomatic untill very late
of course that's only for adults in the western world....

it usually depends on the results of the studies in each country... but, generally, i think the number one killer is represented by the group of cardiovascular diseases (miocardial infarction, strokes etc). Cancer comes second in list, usually (men with pulmonary cancer and women with breast cancer).

No, but i now someone who is. What causes severe allergies to food is the esophagus itself. sometimes it doesn't tolerate foods, so the throat swells.
