When he was just trying to get Adam and Eve to eat a healthy apple? Everybody knows an apple a day keeps the doctor away so they would "surely not die." ...well not die soon anyway and an apple can make anyone feel like "a god" Poor Satan the first and most hated nutritionist.

the snake was trying to make Adam and Eve eat the apple that came from the tree of good and evil. If you ate an apple from that tree, you will know the difference and about good and evil. When god created Adam and Eve, their eyes were closed to not see the real world. They couldn't see that they were naked. When Adam and Eve ate the apple, their eyes opened to see that they both didn't have clothe.
The snake was considered evil for making Eve and Adam open their eyes and feel embarrassed.

Dear Valtor,
"Poor Satan!!!???" You've got to be kidding. Satan is walking to and fro across this earth trying to trap us in the smallest sin so he can rejoice and win another soul for himself. But as for your question: The snake in the Bible represents Satan. Satan is always tempting us with one thing or another. We have to be strong and resist. God allows this to happen now, but on Judgment Day, Satan and all his angels will be swept away to his domain taking all his fallen angels with him and all the people who don't believe on Jesus, or al least did not believe during their time here on this earth. Also, nowhere in the Bible does it say that Satan gave Eve an apple. It just mentions a piece of fruit that would help us to know the difference between good and evil if they ate from it. God wanted to keep Adam and Eve as little children, but they blew it. They then had to work hard the rest of their lives and die before going on to Heaven.

as you would know...people don't like snakes in the first place.
but that's not the reason. the reason is because Satan was in the form of a snake and tempted Eve to eat the apple because then they would die sooner or later.
the apple wasn't to healthy... the apple brought mortality to the earth... there were probably other apple trees in the garden so why not pick them?

The snake is not evil, Satan is. He tempted Adam and Eve to disobey God. The kind of fruit is unknown, only speculation. The fruit itself was not bad, the act of taking the fruit in direct disobedience was bad. Your question by the way lacks sincerity, and your comments wreak of cynicism.

It was considered evil because the devil possessed the snake so he could tell Eve to eat the forbidden apple off the tree. The snake itself wasn't evil it was evil because the devil possessed it.

It wasn't an apple. It was fruit from the Tree of Knowledge. Isn't this the most anti-intellectual religion you have ever heard of?
