one really god way is to suggest to your parents to start adding healthy foods into his diet. You may even want to cook a few dinners yourself! Or, you can suggest going on a picnic--bringing healthy foods, of course--and playing a game of frisbee. The gym is always a fun place to get fit, and you can get him a personal trainer to help him lose weight reasonably. If he's not taking your subtle hints, you may want to spend some quality time with him, and be sure to ask him about how he would like to handle his weight problem!
tips:
--try a pida bread and hummus sandwich instead of pizza (you can add some grilled chicken too, if meat is needed)
--instead of soda, try propel (which has only 25 calories)
--spread out his meals (breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, healthy dessert) with smaller preportions!

Take him to the doctor. Tell him you want to see if a medical problem such as hypothyroid is contributing to his weight gain. When you get to the doctors office pass the receptionist a note that says his family is concerned about his weight and would like the doctor to speak to him.

400lbs at 14????????
It is hardly a serious issue provided he wants to have a fatal heart attack before he reaches 30.
The question needs to be asked - what are your parents doing about the Hippo in your living room???
But then again, it appears to be nothing, in which case he should be taken into care and put on a strict regimen to get him back to being a human being within the normal parameters.
This is a joke question though, isn't it??

take him 2 the doctor! that weight cannot be shifted just by exercising more! he probably is too fat already to physical exercise, he needs specialist help. 29 stone is far too much for a 14yr old! he must hav a problem....

Personally in my opinion you are the one with the problem. You shouldn't concern yourself with his problem to the extent of desperation. You probably add to his problems by being overly concerned and just making a bad situation worse.
