I would translate the like this:

cornbread - pan de maíz (... don't dorget the accent mark over the letter i)

jiffy - rapidito

Hope it helps.

Given that there are several widely different dialects of the Spanish language, here goes : batter is azote; cornbread is borona; jiffy is momentito. These are the best I can do.

the 1st to those that responded are superb. A "sacapuntas" is a pencil sharpener. "Sacar" is the Spanish verb "to get rid of" mutually as "puntas" are "factors." So it particularly is style of asserting "element taker away."
