I've started looking for my frist car and was wondering... what is tthe most affordable type of car appropriate for a new driver? Thanks?

Toyotas and Hondas are the most reliable.

I have a Chevy Cavilier, though, and I love it.

The most important thing is to find a mechanic or a really knowledgeable friend that you trust who can really look over the car and tell you if anything is wrong with it before you buy it.

ALSO, the best place to look for a car is a retirement home or community. A lot of older people take great care of their cars and eventually as the people get older and don't want to drive anymore, they'll sell it for a good price.

The chevy cavalier is a good car to start with.They get good MPG and dont dreak down much as you find with other cars.Good ride and fun to drive. Best of luck with the car you pick.

If I were you I would look at the Hyundai's, there pretty good cars, great on gas and you can buy one for a low price.
