If you have an allergic reaction to bee stings (or other allergens) your body goes into anaphylactic shock, whose symptoms can sometimes be mistaken for an asthma attack. And as it's been stated without an epipen (epinephrine) followed immediately by a trip to the emergency room the results can be fatal.

Yes,if the person has allergy which reaches to the point of a condition known as anaphylactic shock (swelling, severe decrease in blood pressure, fluid accumalation, severe skin reactions, unconciousness, coma & in severe cases, death) , which can also occur in some cases of drug allergy, such as penicillin allergy. But in the case of penicillin allergy, the person may be rescued by emergency treatment by adrenaline, corticosteroids & antihistamines. I don't know exactly about bee stings, but I guess the same goes for it too.

Oh yes, for sure! Any one that is stung should be wwatch closely by someone that cares for them for the first several hours after a sting . Yes, the pens are a great idea. With my daughter it's her fear that I have to worry about . That fear is a killer . Keeping the person stung calm is very important. Know your CPR and 9-11.procedure.

Yes! It depends on the severity of you allergic reaction. You should get to a hospital right away, or if you are out of time and have liquid Benadryl take it and the call or get to the hospital. You should make arrangements with your doctor to get a prescription for an Epee Pen.

Good Luck!
