I mean is god discriminating and how do you teach a science class in the same day without sounding like a lunatic. Is this darwin vs god catastrophe a free for all or is the head ape whipping us in to shape. God might get mad either way.

No doubt, the presence of that word in the pledge raises more questions than it answers. It IS a pledge, it's not made to answer questions and yet you have to ask if you're pledging to a flag? a country? a god? A man can't serve two masters much less three.

Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. . . .

1. Does saying the pledge of allegiance establish a religion?
2. Is saying the pledge of allegiance required by the government?
3. Is there really an argument between evolution and the existence of a creator? Does anyone claim to know the mechanism of creation? It seems possible to have it both ways.

God existed before He created everything you can observe.

Do you really think God cares if man keeps or removes his name in a pledge to an country?

Jesus asked that we teach all nations, not to convert everyone. Tell me how including God name in a pledge to a worldly kingdom teaches anything.

If you are really concern about the Kingdom of God, read his book.

As for your detail, frankly it is unimportant especially if you remember God reveals and man observes. Everything in the detail is man's observation. The bible is not a science book, but a book for believers about what God has revealed. Again try reading his book at it is intended, not as theories that explain facts.

Since god would. might, could get mad either way... the only thing to do is live by our own conscience... let him get mad... it's not like religion does anything for the world... freedom of religion brings peace among the humans that to us that is important.... making a conscience stand against chaos in our societies matters We have the capacity to tell right from wrong and in many instances we disagree with religions on this matter... equality freedom justice matter to us the humans and if we are to continue sane we must cut out the insane... freedom of religion also means freedom from religion... so yes take this word "god" out of every thing that means conscience of humanity and then lets see where it takes us...

The pledge originally didn't have it -- fundies added it in the 1950s.

I believe that intelligent design is ok. It doesn't name the creator, but implies one. If needed, then the parents should fill in the gaps.
