COSHH (Control of Substanes Hazardous to Health) regulations should apply in your place of work. Ask your employer as risk assessment should have been carried out - if not, why not? Ask also for protective wear to prevent inhalation - I do think it's a serious problem.

of course it does you harm, you should be wearing an N-95 mask when you work. There is a veritable epidemic of lung cancers among nail artists right now.
