Christians claim that God created us for a purpose -so we can believe in him, obey him and be saved. If this is so it is very difficult to explain why, each year, millions of foetuses
naturally abort, and millions of babies are born dead or die
within the first two years of their lives.Further, millions of people are born and live their whole lives with severe mental retardation, unable to think even the most simple thoughts. How do all these people fit into God's supposed plan? What purpose can God have in creating a new life and then letting it die even before it is born or soon after its birth? And what happens to all these beings?Do they go to heaven or hell?If God really created us with a plan in mind, that plan is certainly not very obvious. Also,as the majority of the world's people are non-Christian and as not even all Christians will be saved, this means that a good percentage of all the souls that God creates will go to hell.God's plan to to save everyone to have gone terribly wrong.

The problem is simple.
The world is hostile towards and in rebellion against God, just like you.
Repent, turn around, change your way of thinking, and believe the Gospel.
I did, and I have had the peace of God in my life now for over 36 years.
Then you can begin to actually do something about the problems the world faces.

God made a perfect world and wanted to communicate / bond / talk with the humans he created. He didn't want to oblige us to love him, he gave humanity a choice: live according to my rules and we will have lots'a fun together, or do as your own wish, but than you're on your own.
This is the basis that is told in the beginning of the bible. Apart from if it really happened literally like this, or that it is meant metaphorically the basic idea remains the same:
People wanted more then God's perfect world, and didn't follow his guidelines, thus making the world imperfect. Christians call this sin. Because of this sin there are a lot of things in the world that are not "nice" (understatement). Still we could be a lot worse off, because the punishment of destroying God's perfect world was death. And at least we still live a while before we die, don't we? Besides that God didn't carry out his punishment immediately he gave us a salvator who took up the punishment upon him. So for those who accept this sacrifice there is no punishment for eternal death.

Still, for the while we live in this imperfect world - the world that humanity made imperfect - there are a lot of the horrible things you describe. So God made laws of nature, by which everything developed as it is now (see me carefully trying to avoid idease about creatonism and such), and because we destroyed the perfect world, humanity must suffer. Not because God decides that one of the humans should suffer, but because of the laws of the nature of the imperfect world.

This is the same as if you put your hand into the fire. Law of nature says that in that case you'll burn your hand. It is not as if God really decides that you should burn your hand. It's just law of nature. And a lot of these laws are for our own benefit. If fire wouldn't heat up things that are inside it, we wouldn't be able to warm up ourselves when we were cold, we weren't able to cook, or even drink coffee!

So the problem is, we live in a world that has to follow the laws of nature that God created - a world we have to live in since humanity decided not to listen to God

Good questions.

Hypothesis (based on various verses in the Bible): Infants who die make it directly to heaven. Same with individuals who are so severely mentally retarded that they can not make right-vs-wrong decisions.

God provides ALL humans (who reach the age of accountability) the option of choosing him or not. Any human who sincerely seeks God (with sincerity, humility and perseverance) will find Him.

I was an atheist. However over a period of time I moved away from Atheism (for intellectual reasons), investigated evidence for God -- and ultimately committed my life to Christ.

Cordially,

an exciting attitude on abortion, yet incorrect. have you ever seen "a stunning existence"? you ought to in all risk think of back into your own existence, and detect a ordinary volume of stable issues which you have have been given completed--maximum folk can. think of in case you have been aborted--those stable issues does not have got here approximately--and the outcomes could ripple in the time of time, affecting limitless others. we are, each and each people, helpful to humanity. we are all extremely significant. definitely everyone. no one is 2d terrific. we are persistently taking away significant people--no longer for acceptance or funds--yet for the easy kindness that they could have given to any people. you may argue that folk do undesirable issues, and those undesirable issues could additionally be bumped off. yet, people do lots, lots extra stable than undesirable, so for each baby we abort, we are removing a great sort of stable. And, we've not even touched on what abortion does to the mummy. there is in all risk severe psychological harm to approximately 10% of the ladies who've had abortions. In u . s . a . of america, if there are around a million million abortions a twelve months, that must be one hundred,000 women that are having severe adverse outcomes. yet i'm valuable planned Parenthood keeps track of each and every of the ladies to ascertain how they're doing over the years. I mean, they're in touch on the subject of the well-being of the girl--are not they?
