I had a hard time finding dance classes that will allow a 2 year old to enroll. Most want them to be at least 3. I put her in a program called "creative movement" which was a pretty loose class for dance and movement. Even then I found she was a bit young to follow the instructor, most of the kids just kinda did their own thing, which was fine, but I understand now why dance schools want you to wait until they are 3. I'd see if there was a program at your local rec center like the "creative movement" class I put my daughter in

I started to dance when I was 2 and I LOVED it! But when I turned around 8 I quit. Mainly because I was dancing EVERY SINGLE DAY. If she only goes once or twice a week starting out I say let her start in August or September. There are also classes for mommy & baby, but she may be to old for those. Hope I helped!

Most dance schools start at age 3. Any earlier and they really don't have the attention span for it. My daughters started young and love it! Until then look for a group setting where you can be involved too.

Just because a child loves music and 'moves' to the music does NOT mean they have the discipline for dance. Wait until she's much older - about 10 and then see what she's interested in.

I know most children pick-up foreign languages very well at the age of 3yrs old. Your daughter should do well at dance since she has already been exposed to music and dancing.

Right now, even if she isn't pottied trained; the lessons shouldn't be that long. The sooner the better. At this age, it's not about understanding instructions about technique, but about learning from her environment all the nuances of dancing and music. Go for it! Your child will have a blast, and you'll enjoy watching her learn!

You can start her around 2 or 3. It won't be some strict ballet class, but she'll have fun with all the other kids. It's a really good chance to socialize her before she starts school!

set her up soon as you feel like. The younger the child, the easier it is to learn and imitate movement. The better she'll get, quite possibly, the more she'll enjoy her new-found skills!
Although some kid's only enjoy freedom of movement and when restricted or directed, it can make it not so fun.
You know her best, so have fun!
