Epona Willow - When people make the choice to be gay they are also making a choice to reject God and condemning themselves to hell. As Christians we have a responsibility to share the gospel with them.

As Christians our role is to love everyone and minister the gospel. The only way to show someone (anyone no matter what the sin) they are in darkness is to shine the light of God's word on their life. We as Christians have to do that to ourselves every day. Never apply the word of God to your life, but rather apply your life to the word of God, you discover who you are when you can see what God said about you. Concerning homosexuality, one scripture would be 1 Corinthians 6:9: "Do you not know that the unrighteous and the wrongdoers will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived (misled): neither the impure or immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who participate in homosexuality." We have no opinions...just the word of God...He said it I did not.

This is extremely interesting. I saw your response to Epona Willow, and it piqued my curiousity.
Where did you obtain your position that someone that is homosexual is rejecting God and forever condemned to Hell? Is this something that you heard from a pastor or televangelist? Any Bible that I have ever read doesn't contain anything that would cause an individual to reach that conclusion. Perhaps I have an outdated version of the Bible? Please provide passages as reference to open up a quality debate if you don't mind.
Please do respond - this should be very educational for one and all of us.

Thanks for providing 1 Corinthians 6:9 as an example to make your point. That is a good start - unfortunately, you stopped short. Please keep reading...
1 Corinthians 6:10, the very next verse, states the following:
"Nor thieves, nor the covetous, not drunkards, not revilers, not the rapacious will inherit the Kingdom of God"
*Oh, and by the way, the KJ version shows 1 Corinthians 6:9 to say:
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind.
Gosh, now that I wrote that, none of us are getting into Heaven, dang it!
a.) The "effeminate" getting left out takes care of all the women (can it really be very heavenly with JUST men around? Not for me).
b.) The covetous, well, that just gave me the boot. I coveted a sportscar and a fishing boat recently.
c.) Abusers of themselves, well, every teenage boy just got evicted
d.) Fornicators, well, that got rid of everyone that had sex without being married
e.) Revilers, well that just got rid of anyone that uses abusive language
f.) Rapacious - well, there goes everyone that is greedy.
g.) Drunkards - there are a lot college frat boys and sorority sisters that just got the "No Vacancy" sign on that one.
And so on, and so on....
Gosh, Heaven doesn't really sound very fun anymore. I'm glad I'm not going to *your* version of Heaven.

You can best minister to any of the people you don't like by not passing judgment on them. Let him who is without sin cast the first stone, dude.
Worship your god. Leave other people alone. You ARE NOT the judge of people's souls. You DO NOT know what is in another person's heart, particularly if you do not listen to that person's feelings.
God is love.
Is a person not a loving person just because he or she is a homosexual?
You cannot make a judgment like that. Furthermore, God doesn't want you to try to make such judgments against your fellow humans, therefore God has told you, "Judge not, lest ye also be judged."
Is your religion a marvellous tool for pointing out the faults in your neighbors?
Care for your own soul, Bro.

In my opinion only converted homosexuals can and are trained by God for that issue. That is just my opinion,I know I have not the foggiest clue why a guy would prefer a hairy,stinky man over a soft lovely female.Take care and may God bless you spiritually.
P.S. I guess what I'm trying to say is I am not qualified to work in that area.

I disagree with your belief that homosexuality is a sin. I struggle, as a Christian, with the question of how to minister to those who practice discrimination in the name of a teacher of love. I have decided that all I can do is state my belief directly and respectfully. This is that love is love, and there are many, many areas for people to practice an active ministry of compassion in this world. Some examples include food banks, domestic violence shelters, infant nutrition and education centers, donation of time and money to clinics that offer free and low cost health care, and the list goes on......
*edit* Thanks for the reply Arikinder, there are many, many works considered scripture in the world today. Many people in the world believe different scripture than you, and hold it to be true with the same depth of certainty and belief that you experience. It is all holy.

properly, i haven't been confident that loving somebody of an identical intercourse is a sin. God has no longer laid something on my coronary heart approximately it and, for my area, he's relatively the defining element interior the communicate. yet, particular, it bothers me whilst people i bypass to mass with tell me i'm no longer following Jesus' teachings because of the fact i admire my female pal. thankfully, they are no longer those figuring out who gets into Heaven and who takes the elevator down. I pray for them, because of the fact i do no longer think of you will get into Heaven in case you have hate on your coronary heart. So I pray that its in simple terms them being erroneous relatively than them being hateful.

I was always taught that God, not man, saves souls. Try being a physician and "heal thyself" I am not gay, nor am I homophobic. Does that ring a bell? Your answer lies within.

You can't. Not everyone believes that christianity is the correct religion. It's great and all that you've found your path but trying to make others walk it is not cool. Try fixing your own problems before trying to fix others. You can turn your attentions to other after you have achieved perfection.

Wow!!! Some Christians certainly put a lot of energy in thinking about the sexual orientation of others.
Think what could be accomplished if that same energy was used to feed the hungry, provide shelter for the homeless and minister to those that have lost all hope.
EDIT: No ONE chooses to be gay!!! Is it not your duty as a Christian to feed the hungry, provide shelter for the homeless and minister to the the down trodden? It seems to me that those issues are more important that attempting to change someones sexual identity through guilt and fear tactics.
As a Pagan it is my duty to love and care for all living being and attempt to improve the quality of their lives.
There is nothing more important than trying to save someones soul?!?!?! I guess that means you would walk past a hungry child without a glance if it means you could get a feather in your cap for dragging a wino to church. Oh...that makes perfect sense. *insert sarcasm*

Treat them like everyone else for starters. Give up on classifying people into groups.
Jesus spent more time admonishing the church leadership of his day than he did any other "group".
