No, it's ridiculous, and you shouldn't ALLOW yourself to be dragged either! You can tell the person you will be available to support them in any other way, but don't let yourself be guilt-tripped into going to a funeral! You'll have enough funerals in your life about people you care for.
Stand up for yourself... no one can take advantage of your good nature without your permission to do so!

Sometimes. It depends on the situation. I ahve gone to a funeral before where I didn't know the deceased that well but I went to be an emotional support for the loved one left behind.

I think you aren't a very compassionate person and you aren't going to last long in the relationship you're talking about. Funerals are for the living, not the dead. Whether you know the deceased is not relevant, you know someone who is hurting.

Dragged? By whom? If the deceased is a friend of the family or your significant other and parents or SO are asking you to go with them, then it is appropriate for you to go. It dos not matter that you did not know the deceased. What matters is being there for the ones who were survived by the deceased to show your support.
It's not that much time out of your day. Just go and be polite.

If you are going because your significant other knows the person, then yes.
You are there for support.

No - if you didn't know the deceased, it wouldn't mean anything you being them (it doesn't mean anything to them when you did know them, but it does more to the family).
