Does anyone know of a company that will hire me ,and what is the average pay per hour i should expect?

first u have 2 decide if u are going 2 work 4 mileage pay or hourly pay. most local driving jobs pay hourly. otr (over the road) drivers are usually paid mileage. did u go 2 school 2 get your cdl? this will make a difference on who will hire you. due 2 insurance most companies want truck driving school graduates. starting pay per mile should be .30 cent and up. u are going 2 look at companies that take new students until u have 6 to 12 months experience usually

First you only get paid by the mile. And you don't get paid for all of them either. Expect to work 2 to 4 hours every day for free.There is no extra pay for holidays and you will be working them. Starting pay for most newbies is around 25 to 28 cents per mile.Swift hires newbies check with them So does Werner.

I got my CDL license in Nov '06. Now I have to pay for it and I work for Transport America. They keep me busy on the road and I do enjoy it somewhat. They are helping me pay for the license also, which is a good thing. You can check with them for a job, at www.transportamerica.com. You first go through orientation in Scotsburg,IN. for a paid week, and you have to pass their somewhat easy testing, including driving the truck. This job has paid off ok, and will be better in a short couple of months.JM

If you are over 21, most long haul carriers (JB Hunt, Schneider, etc.) will hire you into their driver training program.
They typically pay by the mile once you get through the training. Good money if you like the open road.

If your record is clean, any one of them will hire you and you should expect to be paid by the mile, not by the hour, anywhere from .31 to .41 cents a mile.

try stevens international trucking and s for pay per hour dont count on it anywhere most if not all I know pay by the load or by the mile.

It all depends..
On where you live, if you work for a privately owned or coporate buisness, Competetion, Hourly-commision-salary pay, etc....etc........

No it is not possible, but in some states, you can take the test orally if you can't read well or comprehend what you read well.
