Tyson was an animal in the ring. Ali was light on his feet. I think Ali would have kept out the way and took his chances as they arose and won.

Tyson could send any heavyweight to the canvass with just one punch. And with his handspeed, he could certainly catch Ali with that one big punch. But then Ali had the best chin among heavyweights in history. He could take the most powerful shots by the most powerful heavyweights like Sonny Liston, Frazier, George Foreman and Earnie Shavers so Tyson would not be a problem. If Tyson knocks him down, he'd surely rise up quickly and resort to his holding and clinching tactics until his head clears. Then he'll turn the tables on Iron Mike and knock him out or outscore him the rest of the way for a unanimous decision win. As for Smokin' Joe, I think he wouldn't be as lucky if Tyson catches him. Tyson is a lot stronger and faster than Frazier, and once Joe goes toe-to-toe with Tyson he's gone.

Frazier was KOd by a young George Foreman so I'd have to imagine that Tyson would KO Frazier as well.

Ali would have danced around until Tyson tired and KOd him like he did Liston. If Tyson was some how able to cut off the ring Ali would have used the rope a dope like he did against Foreman. There is one other possbility, Ali would have frustrated Tyson so much Tyson would wind up doing something to get disqaulified. Either way Ali comes out the winner.

Yes, because Ali was prone to get hit with left hooks as we seen in the 1st Ali / Frazier fight .And Mike Tyson's best punch was the left hook.As far as Frazier goes, He lost to a hard punching George Foreman. Mike Tyson hit harder and more often then George Foreman.

Absolutely not...Tyson never beat a decent boxer in his entire career...the best 2 fighters he ever defeated were Michael Spinks and Larry Holmes...Michael Spinks was a blown up light heavy-weight, and Larry Holmes was way over the hill when he fought Tyson. Once any good fighter got past the first few rounds with Tyson, Tyson became an entirely different fighter. Ali would have danced around him and made him look like a fool, and Tyson would not have survived repeated left hooks to the head by Frazier.

you said a YOUNG ali or frazier.

Well if by young you also meant unexperienced then most likely.

You could put ANY boxer in his prime verses NEARLY ANY young unexperienced fighter and expect him to get the win.

Thats like putting Manny Pacquio against some up and coming fighter on Friday Night Fights. That up and coming fighter may go on to unify all the titles in his division but at the beginning of his career almost any big name fighter can school him.

but if you put them in the ring (tyson and ali or frazier) when they are both in their prime then they would beat tyson. tyson hasnt been quick on his feet. He's been rather slow and even though he is short he was usually an easy target. He didnt move around too much. ali was quick on his feet and rather sly. Ali would beat tyson. I doubt it would be via KO because tyson has a pretty tough chin but he'd get a decision win.

Styles make fights. Tyson always had trouble and usually lost to fighters that knew how to stick and move (e.g., Buster Douglas, Holyfield, Lewis). Tyson did his best with those fighters that stood in front of him. Therefore, Ali would defeat Tyson probably quite easily, especially due to Ali's strong chin, heart, and speed. He would make Tyson quit. Tyson would, however, beat Frazier because Tyson has more power, speed, and defense than Frazier. Tyson would knock Frazier out in the middle rounds.

He may have a puncher's chance with Frazier, but Frazier could take a beating and dish it out. It would be a slug festival.

Ali would be hard to hit if he was also in his prime. I would give Ali and Frazier the nod, but that is a lot of what ifs.

I think Ali wud win cuz he is fast, quick, powerful, clever and light on his feet. Tyson is also very powerful but he is heavy on his feet and can't move as fast as Ali. I think Ali wud move like a butterfly, sting like a bee and when tyson has used to much power in his punches and Ali dodges them, Tyson will become tired and when the time is right Ali will fire at will with the jabs and hit Tyson with a deadly, deadly right hook and knock Tyson to the canvas in the 8th round.

Tyson is more of a brawler and Ali was fast but also as obvious had one hell of a hit on him too. I would have to say it would be really close but that Ali would win, rather it be knock out or officials decision.
