Because I've been looking all over and can't find a single position there. From what I hear, you can't even find a job as a teller at Shoprite during school breaks these days!

To all that answered: This question has a real answer. I just wondered how many of you might know. Most of them do find jobs somewhere in SA and then get exploited by South Africans!

garden services, builders ... anyone who employs casual day workers when one of the regular staff is sick (the groups of guys you see waiting on the corners at 6-30 to 7-30am every day)

for casual staff you can pay cash and dont need to get them regitered with uif or workmans compensation

A lot of them join the informal traders ranks selling crafts amongst other things.
They are certainly not all criminals, contrary to Angelpaw and others' chirps. As a former Zimbabwean I take great exception to that implication!

My dad used to be an estate agent, and one of his black clients actually had the audacity to put "car radio thief" as his occupation on his forms!! His logic was that he had a right to earn a living by whatever means possible, and the government couldn't stop him from earning his living.

So no prizes for guessing what their "job descriptions" are...

Hey Porgie. Burglary and murder is not a job, it's a calling! And please do not forget the Nigerians! I guess it is worse now, but the last time I was in SA they ran all the drugs and prostitution syndicates! So much left for 'the boere mafia'! What must they do now? BEE got to them too I guess!
