You have to remove the entire dash panel; it's all one piece around the radio, climate controls, instrument cluster, etc. First remove the two screws above the instrument cluster; then remove the ashtray and take out the screws behind it. After that you can carefully pry or pull around the outside edge of the dash panel to release the clips that hold it in place. You'll have to unplug the connectors behind the dimmer switch, hazard switch, cigarette lighter, clock, and so on. https://secure.scosche-cars.com/scosche.images/hi/hiela02/hiela02dash01.jpg

After the dash is removed, the radio and pocket assembly is secured to the dash with six screws: https://secure.scosche-cars.com/scosche.images/hi/hiela02/hiela02dash02.jpg

sometimes you need a key that slides under and over the raido and you depress a locking deal there allowing the raido to slide out not many new cars are held in by screws and bolts now you can probobley buy these keys at a parts store or try a flat piece of steel and kinda probe around

okay.......umm....i had to take my radio out of my car.....but its a dodge stratus...here's what i did

take the panel that surrounds all of the components....radio,climate control, ect ect

then there should be some clips or screws that need to be taken off (most likely screws)

then you just slide the radio out and there will be some wires but all you got to do is unplug them..

then just put everything back the way it was after you installed the aftermarket radio
then you will be finished
