I collect quotes and poems. I will share some of my favorites with you. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance;
the wise man grows it under his feet.

Never mistake knowledge for wisdom, one helps you make a living,
the other helps you make a life.
James Oppenheim

You don’t get harmony when everybody sings the same note.

If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.
Doug Floyd

Learn to pause . . . or nothing worthwhile will catch up to you.“

If you don’t know where your going.
Any road will take you there.”
George Harrison

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,
but by the moments that take our breath away.

This is a poem that I think is appropriate for Memorial Day.

Don’t cry at my grave cause I won’t be there.
I’ll be in the breeze that ruffles your hair,
I’ll be in the sunshine I’ll be in the snow,
I’ll be in the places that we use to go.
I’ll be in your shadow and there in your dreams.
I’ll be in your greetings but not your goodbyes.
I’ll be in the reflection of your loving eyes.
I’ll always be with you and I’ll always care.
Don’t cry at my grave side cause I won’t be there.

“ If you can read this thank a teacher and since it’s in English, thank a soldier !! ”

Thanks for the question. Have a good day.

Be the change you wish to see in the world.

My peace of mind is in the hands of any fool who can make me upset.

I love quotations because it is a joy to find the thoughts one might have, beautifully expressed, with much authority by someone recognizably wiser than oneself.

Life is not as you think it is, nor is it otherwise.

Our lives expand and contract proportionately with the amount of courage we have.

A long life may not be good enough, but a good life is long enough.

maybe we're not supposed to be happy
maybe gratitude has nothing to do with joy
maybe being grateful means recognizing what you have for what it is
appreciating small victories
admiring the struggle it takes to simply be human
maybe we're thankful for the familiar things we know and maybe were thankful for the things we will never know
at the end of the day the fact that we have the courage to still be standing is reason enough to celebrate
