I can help you when you give more info. Like what you already tryed and is he in daycare, ect... I'll look back to see what new info you posted later. P.S. Let your child go bare bottom for a few days. Pull-ups and underware still feel like diapers to them.

Well, there is your problem.
If you are putting the child in pampers they will never potty train. It is pointless.
I work at a daycare and when parents first start potty training we tell them to go out and buy underwear, probably some with the childs favorite characters on them (they will want to wear them more).
Put the child in underwear day and night. They child will learn very quickly that the wet feeling, does not feel good. They will not like it, and will soon grasp the concept of not just going.
Next, set up a treat system. Use there favorite candy. At work we use m&m's or skittles. If they go "pee-pee' on the potty they get one, and if they go "poop" on the potty they get two. You may think this is a bad idea, because they will always be dependent on the candy, but after a while, the forget about it.
Also, set up a chart. List all the times you take the child to the bathroom, then make two colums. One for being dry when you take them to the potty, and one for using the potty. If the child is try when you bring them to the potty, have them put a sticker up for being dry. Then, sit them on the potty. If the child goes potty, have them put another sticker up. Let them pick the sticker and let them put it on the chart.
Remember to always stay positive. When they have an (and they will have many) say, oh its okay, just remmeber to use the potty. Then set them on the potty. Be consistent, be positive, and it will all work out.
Hope this helps!

I got both my kids broke with the reward program.I got a tablet and decorated it with kid stuff.Than we got stickers that they liked.Section the tablet into Sunday through Saturday. You could do morning noon and night too.Hang it with a piece of yarn in the bathroom near the potty.Every time they go to the potty they get to pick out a sticker.Even if they don't go at all .Just sitting on it warrants a sticker. And place it on the tablet. My oldest one was trained within 1 day with this method.Even though we used it for over 3 weeks. The first day she had about 15 stickers within 2 hours. But that's the idea of it If you don't want to make your own you can buy them at this site. They have a lot of great things! Good luck!Oh yeah if you have a boy,Check out the sinking targets for in the toilet. They shoot them and they sink they are great too!

My grandson, about the same age, did not want to sit on the potty. I bought a bottle of bubbles for him to blow into the bathtub. The only time he could have them was while he sat on the potty. It took about a week and he was pee trained. Took about 2 more weeks of bubbles and reading books in the bathroom before he was totally trained.
