I lived in some sort of seaside- resort town, and I was younger than I am now. Some man took me away to his house, where I was kept in captivity with about 20 other kids. We were treated alright, but kept there against our will. The other kids had been there awhile and had given up hope escaping, they had tried many times and consequently every concievable exit had been barracaded. I masterminded an escape plan, and almost escaped, but as I almost left. He ran downstairs and caught me. The dream ended there. Does this mean anything? This has no resemblance to my real life, I'm eighteen, and never had any kind of experience like this. But it has to be one of the most memorable dreams I have ever had.

Well it sounds like you feel trapped within a certain environment where everyone else seems to be ok with it, even though they are "being held against their will".

Perhaps you want to break free of where you are and leave or something...maybe you have a dream you want to pursue and feel trapped? Is someone holding you back from doing that? It seems like you try, but you can't "escape".

Dreams often play out some truth about our realities in very subliminal ways like that.

And you said you were younger...maybe there is something you regretted not doing or maybe it's just that in pursuing what it is you want, it will make you feel younger again too...the seaside resort sort of place in your dreams may represent the type of place you want to be at...or just a "happy" place that co-incides with where you want to be.

Only you can really figure the puzzle out.

It may seem like it does not apply to your life. But it can represent someone who has been an influence in your life and brought you into bondage to something harmful in your life. The other young people represent people who have come under the influence of this bondage, but do not know how to get free and have given up hope. They have tried all the worldly ways to get free from whatever is a vice in their life it has not worked. However, you had the opportunity, but this individual caught on to what you were doing at the last moment. It sounds more like a spiritual dream. That the devil has a foothold in your life. The other children represent your peers who are in the same boat. Whatever has you captive you can only be set free by Christ. The man of course is the devil.

My take is that there is something in your life for which you feel there is no exit. You have masterminded every conceivable escape route, but someone or something has barricaded every conceivable effort. Explore the areas of your life right now. Your relationships with your friends, family, girlfriend, teacher, school, work, health, spirit. Is there something in one of these areas that you feel you have to escape from and can't seem to find a good exit? Your masterminded effort of escape was downstairs in the basement? As you ran downstairs to escape, you were caught. Dreaming of a basement is some aspect of yourself. A basement is your foundation, it was built first. Perhaps there is something in your very foundation (some foundational belief, attitude or behavior) that you need to escape from. Maybe something from your past. Good luck.

To dream that you are being kidnapped, denotes feelings of being trapped and restricted. Someone or some situation may be diverting your concentration and your attention away from your goals.

To dream that you are young again, symbolizes your failed attempts to rectify past mistakes and lost opportunities.

To see children in your dream, signifies your own childlike qualities or a retreat back to a childlike state. It is an extension of your inner child during a time of innocence, purity, simplicity, and a carefree attitude. You may be longing for the past and the chance to satisfy repressed desires and unfulfilled hopes. Take some time off and cater to the inner child within. Perhaps there is something that you need to see grow and nurtured.

To save a child, signifies your attempts to save a part of yourself from being destroyed.

To dream that you are on a resort, represents your need for some relaxation and escape from the pressures of everyday life. You need to re-energize yourself. The dream may also be a pun a "last resort". Don't be afraid to turn to someone for help.

And to dream that others are being kidnapped, indicates that you are not letting aspects and characteristics of that person be expressed within you. You are trying to contain and/or suppress those qualities of the kidnapped person.

Maybe, you are anxious about something you saw and heard. My interpretation is:1) you are young and don't feel totally free, you are with other children and no one can escape maybe it represents the school system, education.
2) you do not remember it but someone must have stolen something really important from you when you were a child, something really necessary for your development or well-being.
