If we got rid of all those factories we don't need, and then hired some of the illegal aliens who don't try to kill us then couldn't we solve the problem to global warming and then not have this stupid illegal alien problem?

Did you know the polar ice caps on mars is melting? Mars has no factories or illegal aliens. This is a little tid bit of information most global warming experts conveniently leave out. Also lets just trash america.I mean we are the ONLY industrial nation that has cleaned up its pollution and started finding ways and using means (enforced by law too) to reduce pollution while the other countries pollute at will. Our government who is owned and operated (both democrats and republicans) by big buissiness (oil companies insurance pharmacies etc) could do something about this.I had a 1975 buick estate station wagon with a 455 cubic inch engine.I managed to get 25 mpg.The cars they make not get LESS gas mailege than the cars in the 90's.Why?The oil companies own controlling stock of the auto indistries.Remember the geo metro 3 cylinder?50-60 mpg. They quit making them.Agaian, the oil companies at work. The government dont believe in price control when it comes to oil and medecine BUT they sure do when it comes to cable tv installation!Back in the 80 some politicians got upset over the cost of cable tv and passed legislation in 4 DAYS putting a cap on how much they could charge. Also lets not forget weather cycles and volcanic activity. That has a LOT more to do with global warming than anything. When studying about Noah's ark(which is on ararat) the ice had melted enough in the early 1900's for people to see it.Afterwards the ice re covered it for decades.NY got more snow this year than they had in yrs and it snowed in ND this past saturday night.

We have much bigger problems than that. Granted, the factories DO produce a lot of pollution, but where do you think everything we have comes from. The food you eat, the clothes you wear & the cars you drive & so on. What needs to happen is finding a better source of fuel that is non-toxic to our already damaged environment & get rid of the crap that is causing pollution (oil).
The illegal alien thing is becoming such a problem that our own neighbors are losing their jobs to those who don't even live here. We have more americans that are losing their jobs because our factories are gong out to other countries. Our leaders today are focusing more on MONEY than they are on our COUNTRY & citizens. Sure they can take our factories to another country to keep from paying those $10 hr, and pay others .10 hr. Do you see where I am going with this.
We could replace the oil that is currently running our factories, with more efficient & non toxic fuel...such as corn, soy beans, or even rice. This would produce more jobs for our local farmers & would be cheaper to run as well.
To put it simply we can't get rid of the one thing that keeps us up....factories. We just need to take care of what we've got.

Don't get me wrong...I don't think there is a thing wrong with the mexicans coming over here & working. They just need to do it legally & be put in our system so we know who is here with all of us born Americans. Some of my best friends & clients are mexicans, BUT they became an American citizen LEGALLY.
Some people like to hire illegal aliens because they don't have to claim that work on their taxes & they can pay them less than half than they would a legal employee. So some of us are just as bad as the illegal aliens.
You may want to watch a little headline news or CNN before you jump & ask a question like this...There is so much more that needs to be addressed...This is just the tip of the iceberg.

there's no factory out there JUST BECAUSE. There's a purpose for every factory. And you said we could hire illegal aliens...hire them to do what? and how would that help global warming OR our problem with illegal immigration? If the US started openly hiring illegals, MORE of them would start coming over here don't you think?

NO. WE DONT NEED ANY MORE ILLEGAL ALIENS COMING TO OUR COUNTRY TO PUT US OUT OF JOBS. You've probably never had to work for a living, so it doesn't matter to you. Meanwhile, American men and women who work, who make this country what it is, are getting screwed by a government who wants lower wages for the working class, and tax breaks for the rich. What are you talking about? What "Factory"? What are you going to have these illegals making anyways? Don't ask questions like that. ITS UNAMERICAN AND ITS EVIL. The answer to global warming is to quit driving your car, and turn off the lights when you're not in the room.

If we close all the factories, where are the illegal aliens going to work?

Largely due to outsourcing, we have closed thousands of factories nationwide. Rather than closing more of them, we should adjust our trade policies and try to get those factories back in service (but only if we keep them clean).

As I am sure you are aware, although we have lost much of our industrial base due to outsourcing, we have seen only a very slight decline in the amount of pollution we spew into the air.

President Bush has opposed singing the Kyoto Treaty and is opposed to other pollution control initiative. If we are held to the same emission standards as, say, China and India (for them, that would be NONE), we will be even less competitive than we are now. On the other hand, if we don't do something to reduce our pollution, we will either drown from rising waters or die from respiratory problems resulting from breathing polluted air.

Beware of people who dismiss global warming. They are more concerned with economics than the environment. We don't seem to realize that the impact of pollution is a very real threat. We don't think too much about it because it has not really affected our flora (not yet, anyway). But plants take much longer to die from pollution than animals (including humans) do.

As more than one pundit has observed, it is easier to prevent a problem than to correct one.

1. The free market already gets rid of those factories we don't need.
2. Businesses hiring illegals is why they come here. Make it a felony to hire or house them (and enforce it) and they'll stop coming.
3. Don't worry about stopping global warming. Its been going on long before man got here and will continue after we're gone. (and that is a FACT that all scientist know!)

Actually global warming is not a problem - it's a natural occurance, and has been occuring since the formation of the earth. The earth goes through a continuous cycle of global warming, followed by global cooling, followed by global warming, followed by global cooling, and so on. Despite what you hear politicians like Al Gore talking about, global warming is a natural occurance, and there is absolutely nothing humans can do to make it better or worse. Besides, there has not been a documented rise in global temperatures since 1999. That's right, the global warming period we are currently in has leveled off almost 10 years ago, despite what Al said in his hollywood fiction production. Don't be duped into jumping on the global warming bandwagon. (That bandwagon has always been about making money! Just think, reserachers who do not make people believe we are in a crises, cannot be granted funds, and would be out of a job!) Just look at the REAL scientific evidence - look at the data, and see for yourself. We are not destroying the earth. Believing that humans can somehow stop a global warming period is like believing that humans could stop the earth's rotation or revolution around the sun. It's a natural occurance that is "too big" for us to control.

well first of all why would aliens want to work for humans and getting rid of factories wont solve the problem. Even if we did others would be built. I think that if we have the tech to go to the moon then we sure can have the tech to solve this problem. I think the problem can be solved if humans would make a machine that makes energy like a plant and makes clean oxygen out of the co2. The machine gets flugged in the air and uses energy from the sun to stay in the air. plus it makes us energy.

Well the problem with global warming is that it affects us all regardless of the location of factories. A factory in China that emits a ton of carbon dioxide will have the same effect as a US factory that produces that produces that same amount of gas. A better approach may be for consumers to demand that business owners apply the same standard to all their international operations. If we, as consumers, pay a premium on environmentally friendly products, maybe US products will be able to compete with internationally made goods.

I do not see how hiring illegal aliens who don't try to kill us to work in the factories in lieu of American workers or legal residents will affect global warming one way or the other
