I've recently fell in love with a guy, but he frustrates me very much. I know he cares about me, but he is shy and seems to have a really difficult time showing it. I have to all but beg him to open up to me and talk to me about more than just tv and the weather. Every once and a while I'll get a glimpse of the guy inside and I love it, but I don't know how to get him to let me see more of that. Also, it seems I am always the one to come over to his place and I am always the one to call him. He got angry at his roommate one night and left the place without me! Then sometimes he says he will call and he doesn't. I know he really cares about me so that isn't the question. How do I get him to be a better boyfriend?

A caring person would have let you know that they were ready to go and asked you to go with them.
He sounds very insensitive to me.
You could try to talk to him about all of this, but normally, a tiger can't change his stripes.

You don't bother trying! Why should you have to make such an effort...in a relationship it should always be 100% of each person giving the relationship...making it 200%. I know that its hard because you have such strong feelings for him, and i'm sure he does for you as well, however you should never, ever have to make somebody try to express something to you or beg for their attention..its just not right because when you start a relationship the beginning of it will set the tone for the rest of it , and it doesnt seem that the tone is going to well and i wouldnt take the chance of throwing your heart and energy into somethign that has a chance of eventually dwindling. Easier said then done! Good luck!

He does not sound very interested in a relationship with you if you are the one doing all of the calling and coming over. You cannot get him to be anything he does not wish to be. If he will not open up and communicate with you, you do not have very much to go on. Give him some space and find another, more social friend who is interested in you and doesn't mind showing it.

If he is worth it to you, talk to him about how you feel. Tell him you realize that he is kind of a private person but that you love who he is and you wish he would be more open in conversation with you and that you wish he would put himself out there in your relationship. If you give it time and do not receive any results, it is probably best you find someone who is willing to give their heart to you fully, which is the kind of person that you need. Good luck!

Honestly if I were you I'd talk to him about it. Just be honest. Tell him how you know he cares for you but that sometimes he just doesn't show. Tell him you would like for him to call you more and hang out and your house sometimes. If this doesn't work. I suggest you flip the script to find out if he really cares about you like you think he does.

You stop calling him and see if he will call you. If he asks to chill at his house just be like 'yea, we should hang out, lets go to my house this time, though'

He sounds as though he is set in his ways. No matter what you do, you WILL NEVER change him. It seems as though you are the one who is working hard to maintain the relationship...stop and let him pursue you for once. In that way, you will see if he TRULY CARES about you.

maybe its going to take awhile for him to trust you. Maybe theres something from his past that makes him act this way and he's use to dealing with it by himself. You just keep trying and if he does'nt start trusting you to open up and have fun maybe you should tell him that its just not working and see he's reaction to that.

Hes just not that into you! He is selfish and you need to run fast before you get hurt. You deserve better.
