Salty vegetables? Yuck!
Jains are total vegetarians; so are many Buddhists (although it is not generally compulsory).

I believe (but could be wrong) that Jainism promotes complete vegetarianism. A number of other religions say that certain animals shouldn't be eaten for various reasons- observant Hindus don't eat beef, for example, and observant Jews don't eat pork. The meat that they do eat also has to be prepared a certain way so that it's kosher, and in Islam meat similarly must be halal.

Hinduism avidly promotes vegetarianism, the concept of ahimsa (kindness to all living things) prevents them from eating meat.

Does any religion promote eating fast food? No matter what your religion is, your body is your temple. You need to keep it clean and Mcdonalds isn't on that menu.

Seventh Day Adventist, Buddhism, Rastafarian, Hindu, some Christian groups, anyone who realizes that to take the life of other living beings and eat their flesh makes it impossible to be truly spiritual.

well...not directly order or anything but in buddhism, the first precept is "i shall refrain from taking away the life of living creatures". (this includes every tiny creature)..as a result,a lot of buddhists tend to be vegetarians...but not all.....mostly it would apply to directly taking the life away
