The premise of this question is false in at least two respects:
1. Christ Jesus is a person entirely distinct from Jehovah God (aka Yahweh, Living God, God of Moses, etc).
2. True Christians (such as Jehovah's Witnesses) actually do "worship" Jesus, when the term "worship" is defined biblically.
As true Christians, Jehovah's Witnesses cannot help but note that Jesus himself explicitly taught that his Father, Almighty God Jehovah, is the One who deserves and demands "exclusive devotion" (see Deut 4:24; Num 25:11;Josh 24:19).
(Luke 10:27-28) “‘You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole strength and with your whole mind,’ and, ‘your neighbor as yourself.’” [Jesus] said to him: “You answered correctly; ‘keep on doing this and you will get life.’”
(Luke 4:8) Jesus said to him: “It is written, ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.’”
Thus, Witnesses prefer to reserve the English word "worship" to describe ONLY their feelings toward Almighty Jehovah God. Of course, when the term is defined biblically, Witnesses can be said to "worship" Jesus (in a manner subject to their worship of God).
Jehovah's Witnesses "honor" or "do obeisance to" (or "worship", when the term is defined biblically) their Lord Jesus Christ when they follow his teachings and imitate his godly example.
(Philippians 2:10-11) ...in the name of Jesus every knee should bend...and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
Another way that Jehovah's Witnesses "honor" or "do obeisance to" (or "worship", when the term is defined biblically) their Lord Jesus Christ is in offering every prayer in the name of Jesus.
(John 14:6) Jesus said... “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
A third way that Jehovah's Witnesses "honor" or "do obeisance to" (or "worship", when the term is defined biblically) their Lord Jesus Christ is in progressing to dedication and baptism as Christians in Christ's name.
(Acts 2:38) Repent, and let each one of YOU be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ
However, Jehovah's Witnesses are perhaps most unique among self-described Christians in the way in which they "honor" or "do obeisance to" (or "worship", when the term is defined biblically) their Lord Jesus Christ by actually OBEYING the explicit command of Christ Jesus to preach the good news.
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them
(Luke 10:1,2,16) [Jesus] sent them forth by twos in advance of him into every city and place to which he himself was going to come. Then he began to say to them: “The harvest, indeed, is great, but the workers are few. Therefore beg the Master of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest. ...He that listens to you listens to me too. And he that disregards you disregards me too. Moreover, he that disregards me disregards also him that sent me forth.”

They are the " Overcomers" of Satan's tribulation.
Rev 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
So to overcome, one had better know the content of the Song of Moses Deut 32.

Christ is not Jehovah.
The word "christ" means messiah or anointed one.
Since Jesus is the one anointed, and Jehovah is the anointer, they can not be the same person.

Yes. JW's think that the Lord God Jesus Christ is merely the son of a greater father. However, Swedenborgian Christians believe that the Lord is Jehovah God Himself in a Divine Human.
"And I have the keys of hell and death, signifies that He alone can save. By "keys" is signified the power of opening and shutting; here the power of opening hell, that man may be brought forth, and of shutting, lest, when he is brought forth, he should enter again. For man is born in evils of all kinds, thus in hell, for evils are hell; he is brought out of it by the Lord, to whom belongs the power of opening it. That by "having the keys of hell and death," is not meant the power of casting into hell, but the power of saving, is because it immediately follows after these words:
Behold, I am alive for ages of ages;
by which is signified that He alone is eternal life (n. 60); and the Lord never casts anyone into hell, but man casts himself. By "keys" is signified the power of opening and shutting, in Revelation also (3:7; 9:1; 20:1; also in Isa. 22:21, 22; in Matt. 16:19; and in Luke 11:52). The power of the Lord is not only over heaven, but also over hell; for hell is kept in order and connection by oppositions against heaven; for which reason, He who rules the one must necessarily rule the other; otherwise man could not be saved; to be saved is to be brought out of hell" (Apocalypse Revealed n. 62).
