The owner of the team receives the prize fund money and monies received from the contingency sponsors.

The owner (or organization as it were) will pay it's employees and contractors (yes...99% of the drivers are contractors) based on contracts or previously decided arrangements.

Furniture Row Racing may give it's pit crew a $25 gift certificate to Joe's Crab Shack for a Top 25 finish, for example. ;)

Owner, driver, and crew split the money. The driver has a contract that entitles him to a percentage probably the majority, and the crew gets some, too. That should not be the case for the teams that do not make it to the first pitstop. They know who they are because they do it every time!

A certain percentage of the winnings goes to the Team Owner and some to the Driver as a bonus. Most Drivers get a per race salary, a percentage of the winnings, and a percentage of merchandise sales.

The money gets spread around. Most of it goes to the team. Thats why the drivers do personal appearances for their sponsors.
