A true original will be difficult to find and very expensive to buy. It will retain its value very well and makes a great investment. On the other hand you can purchase a fake gt500 for a far lower price. If you don't care about minor details such as VIN numbers and aftermarket parts you can but a car that looks just like a gt500 to anybody but a mustang expert.

Oh the memorys of Hertz rent a car GT 500 california edition mustangs for 20 dollars a day. Four speed cars with the high perf motor. Still handled like a Falcon and stopped almost as long as a train. Sure is a nice car to take to restoration or buy one already done by Chip Foose or Performance Car companys Like the one Carrol Shelby works with expect to pay 70,000 to 90,000 for one with a 427 engine big brakes suspension and all the goodies.

Yes, but you'll pay mucho $$$ for it, and it will probably be rusted out or (non-orignal), and those cars handled badly & braked even worse.
