How important are looks to you?

while many wud like to have a great lookin hot person , its not always the best thing ,esp if you want something real , sometime people who look good make thereselves ugly with how they act and a person who you might at first say I wudnt , can make you fall in love with how they are , you can always look for the best lookin ones but often they know they r hot and have a mind set of there better , which can drive you crazy and often they will make you end up not likin them very much , I know a girl who hates her man but he looks good and thats important to her , but what sucks is she live in misery because of it , screw that , for me attitude is what most attractive if its on a great body and face wonderful , but if not then fine too , we all have out limits though , like no matter how nice someone is , or good or whatever there are certain things I cant handle like to fat or hairy ,so in a case like that Id rather be alone , lol

Looks always come first because people are prejudice.
Me, I would only date the good looking ones, because I'm attractive to them. They make me feel nice being together with them in public haha. I care about image very much, since not many will notice me or even know I exist if I don't look good myself. And when I don't look good, no one would care to even get close to knowing me...
...Personality? How would anybody gonna know if they don't even gonna want to be my friend...?

On a scale of 1-10 looks are probably about a 4. Granted they would have to appear decent but overall they aren't really that important. It is who they are that attracts me.

When you are a young adult, I have to honestly say they are--but the older you get the importance of looks change--you must go deeper than that---you want someone that is going to like/love you unconditionally--Beauties Only Skin Deep

They are not important at all, as you get older you realize that if think you are ever going to settle down, then you need to go for someone who has a lot more to them than their looks.

It's difficult to say for myself at this stage. I seem to be more concerned in what other girls think of MY looks. I have never been asked out and I have been ridiculed and made fun of, and that has damaged my self-esteem somewhat. I encounter their horrible judgments nearly every time I go out, and it always ruins my day, because it narrows down the number of girls who might actually like me.

Initially looks but then i really study the personality. If the personality is good then they get better looking. If the personality is bad suddenly they don't look good to me any more.

"Looks" does not necesarily mean the person is society's view of what models are. Looks is how you look. Period. Different people are attracted to different characteristcs, so looks don't matter, because there is someone there for everyone. However, you must be phyically attracted to the person for the relationship to work. So in that case, looks/qualities do matter.

Physical appearance makes the first impression. But incompatible personality or low self esteem is a deal breaker fro me.
