Hatred and bigotry are profoundly unattractive. It speaks volumes about the hatrer, and says nothing of consequence about the group(s) whom they visciously and repeatedly attack.

I would say they are correct in saying that God created the universe, but some of there biblical interpretations are incorrect and can not be substantiated by science; for example the 6,000 year old earth.
I on the other hand, believe Genesis is not about creation, but about the restoration of the earth after the 6th mass extinction. Ofcourse there was evolution before the extinction, but I see genetic engineering during the restoration process. I firmly believe there is no conflict between science and belief in God.

Actually, the book of Genesis as accurate as to both quantum physics, the big bang, and the theory of evolution.
Even Darwin believed in the bible.
God used evolution by changing the DNA in the sperm and egg to create a new creature.
There were never enough large mammals on earth to account for so many changes in such a short period of time, even if the earth were blasted by x-rays for a million years, natural mutations would not happen enough to create humans.
Sorry to both extreme groups, but science and the bible agree.

Not stupid, just desparate. The fact that intelligent design exists at all, is an indication that many thinking people in Christianity are coming to the conclusion that the bible may be incorrect.
Intelligent design is an attempt to justify mistakes in the bible and repackage them to justify belief in the Bible.
It is very similar to a child who has been caught lying, coming up with a last ditch excuse to justify thier actions. The last excuses is usually the one that makes the least sense, and ultimately leads to the child admitting guilt.
I imagine there have been many Christians who take a good look at intelligent design and realize that it all must be a ruse because intelligent design essentially changes the literal text in the bible.

Yeah, I guess all those people who have their Ph.D in biology, biochemistry, physics, geology, botany, microbiology, theoretical chemistry, chemical engineering, paleontology, archaeology, neuroscience, astronomy, electromagnetics, entomology, molecular and cellular pharmacology, and astrophysics who believe in intelligent design MUST be stupid. :)

Don't be silly. There's lots of evidence that the universe and life itself is too fine-tuned to be an accident. As a matter of fact, it is a mathematical impossibility that it was an accident.

The same reason humans have a coccyx and an appendix; our evolutionary paths led us away from needing these anymore so they lost their functionality. Flawed design would be more accurate, but design changes are always in the genes....

Hard to say about whether natural selection will thin out the intelligent design herd. But, I was thinking the other day, to start accepting their contrived explanations has no end. For example, they could say the Wright Brothers did not invent flying, it says so in the Bible.

As long as we have meds to keep diabetics alive, meds to keep bipolar from suicide, viagra to keep old guys breeding longer ,natural selection will not improve the species.
Has anyone invented a time machine to see how the world started? Who can ultimately answer this honestly?

Stupid? Maybe, and/or ill informed, brainwashed, misled, gullible, fearful, in denial, and ignorant.
Despite claims to the contrary, they are scientifically illiterate, otherwise they would embrace ALL mainstream scientific principles and understandings, which leaves no room for an anthropocentric deity or magic sky fairy..
