What do you worship, adore etc...?

People of religion do it to God, Christ, Muhamed etc. But people of no religion have the same sort of commitments, feelings for and unreasonable passion about other things... I've listened to people talk about cars etc as if it was some sort of a God they would be willing to lay their life down for.

Mother Nature is my primary goddess. But what I worship and adore is more abstract even than that. It is represented by words or symbols or statues, but it is ultimately ineffable. Unknowable. Unless embodied in living flesh or stone or paint on canvas, or something else which is capable of connecting with the human that I am. But it is also embodied in MY living flesh, even though I cannot always feel that it is so.

I worship and adore my fiance. He's the only person I would lay down my life for, and I would do it in an instant if need be. He's the most important thing in my life.

I love my wife, my kids, my friends.
I love music.
I love hockey.

Do I worship any of these? No. I'm realistic and realize that I could lose them the next minute. So I should strive to enjoy them to the fullest.

I worship nothing. But there are people in my life that I adore.

My husband is athiest and he doesn't "worship" anything. He respects and works hard for me and the kids. All though I would love to say he worships me. :D

I find life, itself, interesting enough. I don't have to worship imaginary beings.
