As a vegetarian, I am fed up of questions criticizing meat eaters, so I had to ask this question. I am against some factory farming methods, but if I didn't like meat eaters, I would only like a few animals.

lol - means a lot to hear this from a vegetarian. Thank you. I think it might be fun if - as most meat-eating creatures have to do - when people want to eat meat, they still had to hunt it down and kill it themselves before preparation, because, essentially, who can be bothered in the Western world these days? But you're right - we evolved into omniovorous creatures a lonnnng time ago, and, along with many other carnivorous creatures, we've become accustomed to eating meat. Simply having enough mental capacity to be able to choose what we eat and don't eat isn't necessariliy enough to condemn the practice of eating meat as "evil".

I'm a meat eater but I love animals. I try to avoid meat as much as I can but what my parents cook for me, I eat, otherwise that's being ungrateful.
Anyhow, I think some animals its just unnecessary to eat. I can understand chicken and beef but why are people eating cat, dog, kangaroo, monkeys...that's just wrong.
Animals that eat animals, don't understand, they don't have an opinion on whether its right or wrong. They were taught to hunt and eat other animals, and they don't know how to question it. So for animals, its not good or bad, its necessary and its all they know and its normal.
Humans have lots of alternatives though. They have potatoes, bread, salad, rice, pasta, pizza, vegetables, fruit, soup....Animals don't have that.
Animals aren't evil...humans can be.

Nope is not evil for animals to eat another creature more it's just part of their design and nature, it only humans who have the choice and form opinions.
This is why by design both predator and prey evolve to out do each other on the survival stakes
I am with you on animal cruelty and factory farming this is a human society created evil caused by greed and lack of compassion. all living things should have a fair chance at life even those breed for human consumption.

Huge question to ask. I have as a meat eater responsibilities as to what I eat. I don't eat factory meat. I eat meat that I know has had a good quality of life. Or I don't eat it. I eat fish that I know isn't farmed. I don't eat factory chickens.. aww poor things.. or pork.. or rabbit.. or ducks..
As for the rest of the animals named in your question.. oo-er.. do people really eat those things.. I know the spiders in Thailand and China.. oh i can't stand the thought of the others being eaten.
I should also say that I don't eat a lot of meat. I am feeling awful now

I don't think you should be worried about the extreme views of a few fundamentailists. I am not vegetarian, but understand and respect vegetarians views. Your beliefs are not less worthy because of a few crackpots who try to demonize the rest of us. Most causes have their extremist element and thankfully most sensible people ignore their nonsense.
If I had to choose from your list, I would sonner be chased by a ladybird than a cheetah

i have been a vegetarian for 25 years, and have heard every jibe there is. people like to make fun of something they don't understand.
i love all animals, birds and even spiders & snakes, regardless of what they eat!
Animals although understanding fear and being able to understand Human kindness, are unable to rationalise or place themselves in others places. that is why some are carnivores. all the creatures you list are part of the wonderful world of creation.
ignore what other less enlightened people say, you have compassion, that is priceless.

Animals can't be classified as good or evil. They need to live off other animals or meat to survive, its just the natural way of life. Survival of the fittest.

Animals are not evil (except for my neighbor's dog........who IMHO is pure evil, lol)
But, no, people that eat meat are not any more evil than vegetarians. It's the character of the person, not what they eat that makes them evil.

It's not "evil", as you put it.
See, these animals need meat to survive. And, animals eating meat helps ecosystems because it population in check, and also helps feed scavengers.
