For a long time I did not think that God was real.

Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away.

While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time. I realize how crazy this must sound. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination.

Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to.

I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us.
During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible.

I can’t explain the love I felt with words. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there. Nothing but love. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created. It is only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed.

I hope this is of some help to you. Good luck. Love and blessings.

Your brother don

To the believers; The chances that in all the universe, in just one galaxy, in just one planetary sytem, and in just one species, and only those who are in the "correct" religious club, that an anthropocentric deity considers only these beings as being candidates to live forever, ..after they die.., are remote and fanciful and illogical to say the least.

This coupled with the clear inconsistancies within one religion, christianity in this instance, which also has a great deal of blood on it's hands, and spreads lies, misquotes and other devious means to protect their fantastical beliefs, leaves little room to believe in your god.

The question should be, how could one be so ignorant, and practice so much denial, and spread so many untruths, so that their god may seem real to them..??

Of course, they just "know" god is real, because they apply these methods, and don't even know it. [or deny and/or ignore it]..
That's the scary part..!!

There really isn't any undeniable proof on Earth. Than again, there's no DISproof. God makes miracles happen and helps those in need. He never leaves someone and tries to make things better.

Like one time I almost destroyed my friendship with my best friend. I prayed every night in hoping that we woud be friends again. A few days later, it worked! We became friends again. Maybe you too should start believing.

God IS real and I know him. We talk to each other and he lives within me. We can't see him in a physical being on Earth, but he IS there. He created the Earth and everything on it. The beauty of the planet and of the creatures that live on it--it's all God's creation. I love God and he loves me back. We are all God's children and he is everyone's father. Even yours.

Nobody can prove any gods, much less a specific god, exist; many people will tell you their god exists but no others, but will never be able to prove it, even if they think so. Some will threaten you with eternal pain or promise eternal joy to get you to believe in their god; these are all stories, created for people who were scared long before we understood the universe. Now we have no more reason for these superstitions.

You don't know for sure that God is real; that's why they refer to it as "having faith."
One day it all came to me. I wondered why it is that a man and woman get together sexually, and soon thereafter a baby is born with: a self-contained generator pumping blood through miles of arteries; it's own waste management system with all it's plumbing and pipes; a fabulous computer with visual scanning, audio devices and electrical circuitry; it eventually becomes mobile; can think for itself and make it's own decisions; and -- unlike a mechanical robot -- it has feelings and emotions?
I asked, "Could it be that this product was designed by a super being?" I've been a believer ever since, and coupled with the thought of how I might spend eternity, I figure for such a short period of time here on Earth, it's worth it for me to be on my best behavior!!

It takes less to believe in Him then not.
Think about it' Gazillions of years ago nothing exploded and caused something. Then for some unknown reason a bunch of matter got together and made some soup. once again a bunch of matter said lets be dirt while those others can be water, sky, clouds, Then another billion or so years went by and a fish got tired of swimming in this goop, got out of the water and said I think I need some arms and legs.
See how far fetched it sounds? If I die and I am wrong about God I just die.If you die and are wrong about God you go to Hell. I like my odds allot better than yours.

God is really real but not with 2 eyes, 2 years, 2 legs and 1 nose. such God cannot create this universe. real meaning if God, till date, nobody was able to give. each one is reading his own meaning for the God. that is the real POWER of GOD.

First of all, look around a man or woman sure isn't smart enough to create all there is. Look at the human body. Look at nature. Then there is Jesus, we can believe what He said or not believe. We can believe He existed or not believe. One day we will be in the presence of God. For some it will be rewarding, for some it will not be. I pray all will turn to the Lord in forgiveness and also to give Him glory and praise.

That my godhs, those of the North, are real is an entirely subjective assessment. I can point to deeply spiritual experiences, my own improved luck, even visions and dreams, but in the end . . . what I feel I know, I also know to be subjective, and based on my own perceptions.

However, what is demonstrably real and irrefutable is that these are the cultural godhs of my ancient, pre-xtian ancestors . . . that those from whom I am descended looked to them for luck, for protection, for fertility, for victory, and for wisdom for *thousands* of years. As their child, those ancestors live on in me, and without me, their lives here will have had no lasting meaning; I am their deeds in the world.

I chose to continue their belief.

When I look at the heavens and all the stars etc. And then look at all the beautiful things on earth, the four seasons and all their beauty. He created, I look in the mirror and see a miracle, that happened years ago, the day I was born, It is amazing how we grow from a tiny seed planted in our Mothers womb. We cannot see God, because, He is like the wind, which we cannot see neither, but we know it is there! Yes, God is real! And we will all meet Him someday!
