I would rather learn about the Lord God then learn about some fairy tale called evolution.
I think it is much better to learn the truth than make up lies about the world around me.

Mother Nature is a goddess, when you come right down to it. If there is any intention in "intelligent design," you need look no further than that. There are certain factors about life that are hard-wired, and the will to survive is one, the will to reproduce is another. These are the methods Mother Nature uses to shape plants and animals to their ultimate benefit, and to the benefit of the planet itself.
Has anyone beside me read "The Gaea [that's how Yahoo's spell-checker spells it, but I'm not sure the book did] Hypothesis"? It is a book that came out in the 1970s, I think, where an ecologist pointed out that personifying the earth as a goddess was perfectly valid. If you consider the life of the planet as a whole, the complex interactions of various species make a lot of sense. There is a consciousness to the will to live, the will to adapt to changes in conditions, and so forth. And we humans must be a part of that consciousness, if not its only component. We have a major role in shaping the conditions which change (not just global warming, but smaller, more local effects), and in shaping many plant and animal species through husbandry. [Interesting word, eh? Mother Nature's husband?]

Evolution is defined as genetic change in species over time therefore adaptation IS evolution. Shame the creationists can't grasp that fact.
Edit- To glibly state that adaptation results in a loss of genetic information as one know nothing below has done is complete and utter rubbish- if that's the case how do microbes "adapt" to become resistant to antibiotics without ADDING genetic information. Try clicking your brains in gear. We know creationists will lie but at least make it sound convincing.

Because the little marvels like that are not important to some.
Even though they are more connected with the 'big picture' than who's wearing/driving/whatever what....

Adaptation is NOT evolution. Adaption involves a reduction of genetic information, not the creation of new information. therefore it points to de-evolution, not evolution.
