Is that what you are really trying to do? Do you really wish to try to "save" others out of pure, genuine kindness. Or is it because you feel it is an obligation to what you believe. Or perhaps in smaller cases that you feel empowered saying that to to others.
What do you think?

empowered meaning you feel that you would dominate the other person to coincide to your way of life, making you feel you are correct in your assumptions of your faith.

But see "easy writer" I don't believe in a soul. As soon as you can respect other people's beliefs then what you believe is worthy of respect.
I respect what Christians belief, it's some of them with their attitudes that I don't like. Of course this is found in any religion as people all aren't perfect. Atheists as well can be totally ignorant. I'm trying to create a medium here, is all.

Misty, you are generalizing. You don't think their are any Christians that don't fit what you would say about >all< non believers?

It is not what we believe and than try to tell others about it.Whether anyone believes or not truth is truth and the truth is this we need to make our way back to GOD through JESUS since we got separated from GOD because of sin.
Now this decision is an eternal decision. Its not something where u can go somewhere 10 days and then say hey i want to change my decision.Nope its not like that its goes eternally and eternally means its not going to end forever and ever.
Now thats a huge decision. And every human must think about it and make the right choice because this is the most important decision everyone should take and the right being to recieve JESUS as LORD and SAVIOUR
That is why most people will tell u about JESUS because this is one decision everyone must get right and failing so will be worst.U can decide everything in wrong in this life and just make JESUS as your SAVIOUR and LORD and still go to heaven because of that one decision.whats yours? get it right.
John 3:16[kjv] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
so when we believe in JESUS we have eternal life.JESUS lived a sinless life and gave up his life as a sacrifice so we can be sin free. Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and cleanse ur past with the blood JESUS shed on the cross.
With a simple prayer like above u can be saved.JESUS loves u and wants u to be saved.

Depends a whole lot on the denomination. Its unfortunate because there are so many all thinking they are doing the right thing. In some cases it is actually like an Amway sales recruiting where they have contests and quotas.
I believe it is God who does the saving, and we are just tools that he uses to reach out. The people we are to share our faith with, God will lead them.
This is what Jesus says: John 6:44 "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him..."
John 15:19 "If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." Notice the words chosen and draw.

Easy Writer, you're just full love for everyone aren't you? Thanks for being so real in print. That's a strange contempt for people you've got going there, but at least it's not wrapped in some shroud from Liberty University.
I sense the anger over your friend's suicide, which you see as a "cop out," particularly in lieu of the fact that he wouldn't reach out to you when you tried to talk to him.
Do the theistic thing. Forgive him. You should forgive yourself and others, as well.
It was "severe mental illness" at work here with your friend. No one can imagine that depression is so much more than being depressed or "down and out." The stygian blackness of the despair his depression literally robbed him of his desire to be among the living. Not uncommon at all. This is why they say "the flesh is weak."

We cannot save you, only God can. We want you to hear
the truth and make a choice. I feel no obligation to what I believe. I don't feel empowered either. I know that I know, that I know (oida greek) what I believe is true and my heart
breaks for non-believers. It is like the veil is removed from my
eyes and I can see clearly. I want others to know and see clearly too and share the joy and reap the benefits of Christianity now and in the future.
I see much unity of the Spirit here as I read Christian answers.
We all pretty much said the same thing. Hummmm?? Isn't
that like the Bible one Spirit wrote with many who penned it.
Unity in Christ!

If I saw a person drowning, I'd call for help, then do everything I could to get the person to safety.
Today I see many people under a dense fog Satan has created to blind people to the cliff they are about to walk over. They only see solid ground. It doesn't matter what they think, gravity rules.
In either case, I don't desire anyone to lose their life. I do what I can to keep them alive.
I know sometime soon, the preaching work will be over. Then it will be too late for those people. Over the cliff they go. God's Kingdom will wipe out the corruption infesting the earth along with Satan and his demons. This clears the way for that Kingdom to rule the earth.
I want everyone I can see to understand the urgency of the times and do what is necessary to survive and thrive under that Kingdom.

As a Christian *I* do not try to save others; I merely wish to plant the seed of the Gospel, and the Holy Spirit will do the rest.
But more to the point, I believe *becoming* Christ-Like is a lifelong journey; and while when I first began my trip I may have merely spoke the words with little meaning; as the Lord began to lead me and teach me, I hopefully have come to understand agape love. Which means that I love all my brothers and sister in Christ, and yes, with pure kindness I want to plant that seed so the Lord can do His work. It is never I who does anything; only the Lord Christ Jesus.
In my Christian walk the most difficult thing for me personally, was giving up self. Once I surrendered to Christ I was set free from all the worldly worries and frets. It is not I who does anything....only my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

while Jehovah's Witnesses say "non-believer" they consistently consistently mean somebody who isn't a Jehovah's Witnesses, be it athiest, Catholic or Baptist etc. as quickly as I left the religion I nonetheless believed in God and the bible yet my father and mom taken care of me as though i did no longer. you will locate comparable statements with the help of Jehovah's Witnesses that a guy or woman is below devil's impact in the event that they do no longer seem to be a Jehovah's Witness. This si by way of fact they regard each and every little thing they do and have faith as one hundred% finished bible reality, exceeded down with the help of God himself, which you will reject them is to reject God. Its borderline, if no longer finished. blasphemy in case you think of approximately it. as much as they war and deny that being of the different faith does not make you worldly, they do have faith, and say on diverse occassions that if one isn't a JW then they're of the international, area of the international, below the impact of religion, so for sure this will become "a guy or woman of the different faith yet ours" this may well be a suitable occasion of the trademark double talk of Jehovah's Witnesses. Or hassle-free old cognitive dissonance.

I believe some Christians really believe that this is their mission in life. I believe some of them are well meaning good people. Where it all falls down is when they try to convince those who have a path of their own to walk through this life and then bring out the bibles and the threats. Christians would do well to imitate Christ in their love and tolerance of people who are different. Different doesn't mean bad, lost, damned, unsaved, child of satan.......

I want to argue that this way of seeing the direction of causation is a convention that may suit the interests of those involved, either personally or as mental health workers, with the mad individual, but that this way of thinking obscures our understanding of madness. If we want to understand the meaning of the madness -and part of the problem of interpretation is that a lot of people have an interest in not understanding that meaning - we will be a lot better off if we also consider the direction of causation working the other way round.

I can only speak for myself.
Fist of all---I firmly believe that I personally---can save NO ONE. Only Christ saves through the acceptance of an individual to the workings of the Holy Spirit in their life. God can only 'use' me as a tool---pointing people toward him.
Is that what I am really trying to do? Get them 'saved'? I guess in a round about way....for the most part, I dont find that to be my personal goal. I wish to make God known for his glory----if people are 'saved' in that process the glory is his and not mine.
Yes----I think that I try to make God known and lead others to him out of 'genuine kindness'. I mean, why should I honestly 'care' if anyone else is saved...??? When you are touched and effected by God's love....there is a desire to make it known to others that ultimately is altruistic.
