ABSOLUTELY! The reason being is because our President is trying to accommodate both the Dems and Repubs with this amnesty but in reality it is pure liberal garbage and he doesn't need any help with his constituents since he is on his way out of office already. We tried amnesty already, it did not work because the laws were not enforced and a fence was not built to keep the drug dealers/smugglers and migrant workers out. Its worse now than when former Pres Reagan tried to fix it. Where is our sovereignty? Love this country or leave it. This is not Mexico and they won't integrate or assimilate like ALL of the other immigrants have done. AND finally, why reward law-breakers? I don't get special privileges to break any laws, why should they? Where is the fairness in that?

Yes, I think that even if these people are good law-abiding citizens on the other side, they become felons when they crossed that border illegally, and more felons is absolutely NOT what we need in this country. We need tax dollars to go to feed the hungry, literacy programs, and health care for people who PAY TAXES to live here. I don't know about the rest of you but I have a hard enough time meeting the needs of my own children, I can't afford for my tax monies to fill up a felonious persons food stamp card every month. And mustagme, what the hell is wrong with you? Wanting the people who live here to pay taxes, contribute to society, and obey they laws of the land is racist? Please, go smoke another one and get on the next boat to ANYWHERE ELSE!

What American citizens and naturalization citizens have to understand is that. Its pretty easy to sit down at the table and discuss how to fix a problem, when you are just analyzing the principles and not concentrating on the people. In the Clinton economy when people were making money left and right everything was fine. Yes America has to protect against terrorism but how many of the most wanted foreign terrorist that are in the country came in illegally through the border. If you really do your research its going to show that they came in through visa programs. I look at it like the Katrina disaster...how many people knew that those levies would not hold a category 5 storm...so they just let it be because the chances are that its not going to happen...but it did. Just like the border security willing or not the government has to address that most of the illegals come through there, how many years or decades its still the same, and now all of the sudden lets just take this universal stand on immigration and no buts or ifs. I found this website which was made by a foreigner it makes a lot of sense.

Why don't we just go in the streets and run after them like in some European countries and send then back? so we could have more space to be gardeners, maids,hospice caregivers or those filty little minimum wage jobs open?Then most off the smart people in here might have a job and our nation will be happier.Yes, the new immigrants are the reason why we are not so happy anymore ..and lets stay in a clean paradise, we old immigrants.

The greed that motvates employers to pay far less than even McJobs wages with no benefits.
The greed of politicians who receive a steady flow of campaign contibutions from corporations, small businesses, and farmers who want to drive down wages even lower.
The greed of the Catholic church that sees a new generation of members than can't read about the sexual abuse at church because they can't speak English.
The greed of the tobacco companies. Yup, immigrants smoke far more than the average.
The greed of the motel owners that are building crappy eye sore motels as fast as they can. Where do you think illegals stay?
The greed of the overextended Mcmansion owners that can't afford to have their landscaping done by anything but low cost illegals.
The greed of other illegals who transport newby illegals to the further suburbs that are not accessible by public transportation. These new age "el Hefes" are practicing the new slave trade.
The greed of social institutions that see the illegals as permanent job security.
Whenever you see a problem that defies explanation, follow the money and you will find the answers.

I think the new Immigration bill could work if it was exicuted correctly, but as for it being a joke, I feel that the Government only looks at the Mexicans, what about the rest of the immergrents.
Why is it easy for some of the people to get what they need and when u are honest u can't get urs.
To cherryblossom04, not all Immergantrs are non-English Speaking, some have very goood skills, ie. LPN, Lawyers, and so on. They are not the reason for the effects on the wages. If youn look in the inner cities, it is not the Immergants who are wasting their lives, it is the American born natives who are triffel, can't--won't work, on wellfare, in the jails, or just plain lazy when it comes to a job. Of the nonregistered immergrants I have met they are working trying to raise their families, and trying to better themselves!!!!!

If it's a joke,it's not very ******* funny. Total amnesty to 12-20 million people who broke our immigration laws,then in many cases committed felonies like identity theft,tax evasion etc in order to stay in the country. Then we have the waivers that the US govt is allowed to grant to known illegal alien gang members,as long as they "promise" they will no longer engage in gang activities they can get their amnesty visa too,which means you just made 33,000(estimated) MS-13 members legal US residents. Does any of this sound like a good idea yet?

Of course it is, lets reward people for breaking the law, maybe they sould also give people that break the speed limit $100.00
They need to have everything taken away from them, hauled to the border and told not to come back at all for any reason. We need to bring our troops home and put them on the border to keep the invaders out. No other country in the world would allow anyone to invade like we have.
Stronge borders and deportation is the only answer that most Americans will accept!

It might be a joke to our government, but I am not laughing at all. Letting that many illegal aliens become U.S. citizens who are mostly illiterate and can't speak English will be devestating to our economy. They'll drive down wages and increase unemployment statistics as never seen before. Not to mention, illegals have a penchant for committing crime. And many are diseased with Tuberculosis, Malaria, Hepatitus, Leprosy, Plague, Polio, Dengue, etc.
The consequence for amnesty is total disaster for this country. It will destroy America - both financially and culturally.
