funny thing about some cars...they get almost same mileage no matter what engine....a 4 cyl is underpowered so the engine works harder to go the same as a V 8 that's taking it easy..also a jeep is NOT aerodynamic..make sure tires have correct pressure....if u check mileage on hyway u may get 20 but around town12 to 14 in city is right...sorry...You could of had a V8!!!

I pull onto the highway 5 miles during my commute of 8 miles that is not combined city highway driving. TRY this fill up on a highway on ramp drive 30 mi pull right out on the freeway set your speed just above the speed limit. Then fill it back up divide miles by the gallons. that is highway mileage. MY commute checked it with GPS averages 24 miles an hour no cars get good mileage when there idling at traffic lights. Your Jeep sounds just fine get the chance go for an economy run and see what it will do.

Do you mean MPG (Miles per. Gallon). Will I have a 04' wrangler. Make sure your tired are property inflated, and your air filter is clean. My MPG dropped to about 15 or 16 MPG because I gad a dirty air filter. But make sure when you get one they give you the right one. When I got my new one they gave me the wrong one. I think they changed parts sometime during the 04’ production year. Also make sure you have your oil changes up to date. All these will cause your MPG to really drop. I can tell you they all do effects your GPG because I have had to do all of them. Also make sure you have any extra stuff out of your Wrangler. The extra weight will take your MPG down too. Will I hope this helps.

It also depends on what your axle ratio is,a 4Cly. Jeep will not get much better mileage than a 6 because it will work harder.I get about 18 with my 6Cly and have 31inch tires, try changing the air filter and the oil

It depends on the weather... no seriously. How much of the top is on and how windy is it. It makes a huge difference. I have a deck cover (tonneau cover) I can put on the back of mine. When I use this and not other top, I get about 22 mpg. With the top on and the wind blowing... about 12 mpg. Don't believe me? Try it.

i can answer this from personal experience because i have a 1995 YJ with 33x12.50 mud boggers and a 4cyl 5spd. i have a top speed of 60mph and about 8-10mpg. if thats not an issue your good. i only have a 3" bodylift and it works fine and i dont have to extend the driveshaft either. 6" lift you need 35" tires to fit it good. i would use a 4" suspension lift or 3" bodylift. wont hurt the tranny. just wont ever need to use 5th gear

this 4 cylinder is a small engine and you're driving 4 axles, and a transfer case and trans.and air conditioner, and you're not gona get any better milage than this,i'm sorrry. the four cyllinder is a fine engine and it can be overloaded too... try shutting of the air conditioner fora day, andsee if you don't get better milage, the air conditioner compressor takes 8-10 hp to work...
