Honestly, asking this question here to people who may or more likely won't know, is like me asking the woman I buy gas from what I should do to become an astronaut. If you really think you want to join the military and you have an idea of what you want to do, then ask the right person. Have enough balls not to get talked into something else. Believe you me, they need warm bodies in the military and recruiters have the job to get them. That does not make the recruiter a bad guy it just makes your agendas a bit different.
If someone you don't know says, "Man you're going to love it.", do you really trust that you will? Why?

You can no longer just walk into the military as an officer. You have to be in ROTC or a service academy. Or you can enlist and THEN apply for their officer program after you finish boot camp and get your first assignment. But you can't just graduate from college and go sign up and walk in as an officer. That was possible in the past, but no longer. In other words, you should have looked into this before so you were on the right track, not that you can't still do it. The helicopter thing is a Warrant Officer program that you could apply for as well after enlisting.

Having a degree does not ensure you will be serving as an officer. You would still be required to pass the officer qualification tests and pass their process. If you want to go fly, that will require passing even more tests to finally get a seat in school. It's not as easy as"I have a dsegree and want to be an officer". I put in 3 people as E-3's with their Masters. They could pass the officer tests.

No, but you are on your way. You join as a regular recruit and then take officer's training school which is a 19 week program. That still won't make you a pilot, just a second lieutenant.

You don't even need a degree to be an officer, you have to go through ROTC in college, or through OCS in the service to an officer.

If you want specific answers and a path to follow in order to achieve your goal, speak with a recruiter. ROTC is also an excellent choice, partly because of the training and partly because it looks good. A recruiter is the only person who can tell you exactly what you need to know, and they can also get you in touch with a current Marine pilot who can tell you what you need to do.
Best of luck, Semper Fi, and oohrah!!

You just need to go to OCS (Officer Candidate School) or OTS (Officer Training School), if you already have a degree.

You just need the 4 year degree, then you apply for a commission. Best of luck to you.

I was in the Marines and Navy both, I urge you to reconsider a civilian option and dont join them, they are not what they seem to be. People like Bush and other criminals have seriously harmed our Armed Services.
