Yes, of course. Most machines take it. You could probably use it in rural post offices as well, check it out at www.anpost.ie.

And have a great six weeks.

First of all it's not Southern Ireland, it is the Republic of Ireland.

Yes of course you can use your master card. Most cash machines will accept it. However, you should be aware that you will be charged every time you withdraw money using your master card. Try to reduce the number of withdrawals and don't withdraw small amounts as it will cost you the same fee. Far better to use it to pay for things especially if it is the only form of payment you have.

We don't have pigs in the kitchen either!!!!!!!

No such country as 'Southern Ireland'.

You would be mad to use a credit card to get cash as interest starts being charged from the moment you withdraw cash - unless you mean putting money on your card and just withdrawing that, in which case interest does not apply.

Sure, no problem, but don't try to use your abnormal card! While you can do this it is an expensive way to go. Better to use an ATM card if you can keep enough money in your checking account.

As long as the ATM carries a mastercard symbol then yes.
Don't forget though that pulling money out against a mastercard(creditcard) will encur charges every time you do so.
