"""There have been some great minds in the past as well as the present and I am positive in the future that can have the inner wisdom to help others.""

You do not make sense, wisdom isn't a mental illness that I have ever hear of so why do you say it is a disease?

""And the most important point I want to make is, its always easier to come up with the right answers for others but not always easy for yourself. If all people who took meds for emotional difficulties were unable to help themselves or others, the world would be in a total chaos and companies would close down one at time.""

Emotional difficulties? It is an illness a brain disease not a difficulty isn't it, and the drugs well they are medication to treat and control them with aren't they?

""I'm really having trouble understanding your question! Do you infer that people here on Q & A are mentally ill when answering your questions, or mentally ill people in general?""

I never inferred either of these in particular or in general or at all about anyone on Q&A, but you have just done so. I said people, I did not give a place did I? You jumped to a conclusion.

""I would rather listen to how they accomplished there success...than struggle through alone.""

Then why if they don't want to take drugs or call themselves names do you all want to bash them, ban them, and shut them up or if that don't work then shut each other up? I don't understand it, but what you are saying about you don't want to be alone or don't want others to be alone may be so, that is why so many go along with all of it because it is the only way they can fit in isn't it. Same as the illegal drug culture only with that one can go to the cops and make them stop.

""I have a mental illness that I take medication for. With my medication, I feel stable and totally fine""

Isn't that actually a belief of yours with no real and actual scientific valid and reliable proof and isn't that why the placebo effect is said to happen because sugar pills can help just as much if one believes that it does?

""By wanting to change my life and live without the effects of the untreated mental illness proves to me that I'm actually pretty sane.""

If you were sane you would not be taking poison into your body on a daily bases.

""because people with mental health understand the things another person goes through""

It is no more then a label to make it okay, if it was seen for what it truly is that it is not a medical disease it would take the power away from it to take people to court and have them hospitalized just because they did not like they way another acted. Then and only then could people with the issues really be friends and work together to help each other solve the problems and figure out the right ways of going about things. You wouldn't have to worry about compliance and noncompliance and if the money was there to fund it or not. Yes, mutual support is good if it is done in the right ways. This is so hard I know that they have so many of you tied up with no choice and no rights, I hate this for you, but you are part of the problems when you feed it for them. I don't say that we don't have any problems or that nothing needs to change a whole lot needs to change, but it won't this way.

Do not underestimate the ability of anyone to provide insight into some facet of life. I am not comparing one to the other but consider the saying: "From the mouths of babes", even young children, with no life experience, can say something that really makes one think.

Well, no less than you're achieving out to the sector for aid. That is an first-class step. I shouldn't have so much time however I will inform you. a couple of tips. I advocate talking to a counsellor at your college probably approximately those problems. If now not, talk over with a stroll-in hospital and give an explanation for the way in which you're feeling. This is the fine factor. Join a organization in which the attention isn't speakme however a venture. For instance, a exercises group - volleyball, badminton, portray, making a song, dancing, yoga, health, -- this does not even have got to be centered round your college. But you can also uncover it really works fine for you. You be trained to be social by means of being social. It takes instruction. Also, there are lots of systems taught via CDs that aid with social interactions and how you can be victorious at it. Good Luck!

I have a mental illness that I take medication for. With my medication, I feel stable and totally fine. Even without the meds, I still had a brain and could intelligently answer a question or have a conversation without being all 'crazy'. There are different levels of mental illness, some people are sicker than others. I'm not running through the streets naked and screaming obscenities. Those would be the people I don't think I'd want to take advice from but they probably don't have internet access anyway. I think I'd rather take advice from someone who is getting treatment for an illness than someone who's not on meds but needs them. By wanting to change my life and live without the effects of the untreated mental illness proves to me that I'm actually pretty sane.

First of all why do you assume there are only mentally ill people answering your questions? And also there are millions of people with depression, or anxiety which is little or nothing to do with intelligence and ability to reason and help others. You are being totally bigoted to have this attitude. There have been some great minds in the past as well as the present and I am positive in the future that can have the inner wisdom to help others. And the most important point I want to make is, its always easier to come up with the right answers for others but not always easy for yourself. If all people who took meds for emotional difficulties were unable to help themselves or others, the world would be in a total chaos and companies would close down one at time.

I have been diagnosed with mental illness. I take my medications and feel just fine. I rarely have bizarre emotions or behaviors...and I think every person has them at some point. If my arm was broken would you not want my feed back? Many people with mental illness that have struggled to get "well" have some incredible insight. I would rather listen to how they accomplished there success...than struggle through alone.

because people with mental health understand the things another person goes through, i would rather have some who has gone through my situation help than someone with just a nice guesture. we all like feedback and if we can try these things to help ourselfs then we are doing nothing wrong. as for your question.. i feel you are very inmuture and have no knowledge of people with mental illness. u seem to think it is ones life that isnt in order... how more false can you be!

I am truly amazed at the speed at which you are thinking and typing questions and answers. Seriously 6 and 7 paragraph answers in minutes....

I wish I had that kind of endurance.

Maybe with less paranoia and impulsivity though.
