If the lake of fire is eternal where will it be in the new heaven and new earth...how could it possibly exist.

Revelation 21:1-8, "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away

The account of the lake of fire ends at the end of Revelation 20. There is no geographical correlation between the location of the lake of fire and the fact that the new heaven and new earth are spoken of in chapter 21. The parable of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16 mentions a great chasm between heaven and hell (verse 26) that nobody can cross. The Bible is silent on whether there would be such a chasm between the lake of fire and the new heaven and new earth, but it would seem to be a very consistent possibility.

Some details about the afterlife are not meant for us to understand

Just know that the old world will be destroyed, that why Jesus went back to heaven to create a new world, where no tears, pain, and sorrow dwell.
The lake of fire is where all those who disobeyed or choose not to follow him will go. There will be pain (everlasting) in the lake of fire.
So a place where no pain and a place where pain is everlasting can not dwell together. Those who make it to heaven won't even see the lake of fire. To see it would bring sorrow to our spirits.

Those who see the lake of fire are those who will spend their eternality there.

These two places do not co-exist

So you are speculating that after the new heaven and earth are manifested that the lake of fire will no longer exist? Maybe but...

I speculate that the lake will be on the outside of the new Jerusalem.

10And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

How can you have them tormented day and night if the lake ceases to exist???
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
11And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Heres why i would speculate that the lake would be placed outside the city

Eze 32:18 Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, [even] her, and the daughters of the famous nations, unto the nether parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit.

Hell is in the earth.
unto the nether parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit.

Heaven and hell are not limited by the dimensions that we are familiar with. All we know is that hell is a place of separation from both heaven and earth.

Hell will not be located in Heaven. The passage you quote deals with the New Heaven.

Does it really matter those that are there are not getting out. You know you have a choice where you go by accepting what Christ has done for you by paying the price for sin, or denying what Christ has done for you. It is a free choice. I doubt those who are there are going to care where they are at they will just want out.
