Why do you always quote the bible, when trying to prove God's existence to athiests when you know that athiest think that the bible is full of ballony?

Why do you quote the bible, whenever you're trying to prove that Islam is a false religion when you know that the Muslims know that the bible has been changed time and time again?

It's no use trying to prove something when people dont believe your one and only source.

Why do you not judge each source on their own merits instead of lumping them all together as if they were the same source? Is this not the same error that the christians fall into? Most books written today have one or two sources doing the writing and we can verify their credibility. The texts in the bible come from many different sources as do other possible sources outside the bible. Is it not possible that some sources inside and outside the bible could be more credible than others? Be smart, stop thinking about the bible as one book.

It does not follow that just because atheists and Muslims do not believe in the Bible we should use some other source. Well, I don't believe in the Quran either, should Muslims also stop using the Quran on me?

The Bible has converted millions of atheists and Muslims in the past so why should we not use it?
The best proof that the Bible is authentic are the archeological findings (Qumran scrolls, for example) which prove beyond doubt that that the Bible is authentic.

With all of the massive manuscript evidence you would think there would be massive discrepancies - just the opposite is true. New Testament manuscripts agree in 99.5% of the text (compared to only 95% for the Iliad). Most of the discrepancies are in spelling and word order. A few words have been changed or added. There are two passages that are disputed but no discrepancy is of any doctrinal significance (i.e., none would alter basic Christian doctrine). Most Bibles include the options as footnotes when there are discrepancies. How could there be such accuracy over a period of 1,400 years of copying? Two reasons: The scribes that did the copying had meticulous methods for checking their copies for errors. 2) The Holy Spirit made sure we would have an accurate copy of God's word so we would not be deceived.

The Mormons, theological liberals as well as other cults and false religions such as Islam that claim the Bible has been tampered with are completely proven false by the extensive, historical manuscript evidence.

Maybe it is for other believers to see the light of God's word when they look over answers. Also God's word is sharper then any two edge sword. YOu might not agree with the Bible but there are some big truth there that even athetist believe. So how can you argue with that. Plus some claim to know scripture and take it literally out of context. Maybe allowing them to see the context will help them understand at least what is believed by Christians, so they get their facts straight.

So many Christians do that for the same reason Muslims quote the Koran and atheists try to quote whatever the latest scientific article is to "prove" their point. Sure, no one who doesn't already accept the quoted source as legitimate information is going to accept it as "truth," but that doesn't keep people from all three groups from quoting 'em.

Despite what other people think or say, true Christians believe that the Bible is the UNCHANGED and UNCHANGEABLE Word of God.

If you had experienced a radical change in your life due to entering a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ, you would quote the Bible too, unashamedly.

I think this should become a drinking question.

I only quote the Bible when it's relevant to the question, and I do not ever use the Bible to substantiate God's existence.

I do not beleive in bible bashing, but seed planting. I am a chrisitan and pround of it. I would not want to be anything else. If am I speaking to an athiest it is a challenge, becase they are empty inside and are searching deep down. They will not find the truth from this world the truth comes form the Holy Spirit who lives inside of you. If is the Holy Spirits Job to convict, and it is a christians job to teach. You see, there are all kinds of people in this world, muslems, budhists etc. But there is 2 groups of people in this world 1 is people who are satisfied with a dead and dying world that they are dying themselfs and will one day die without any hope of a future, and the second group is a group of people who are searching for something better than what this world can offer them, something that will give them hope and a future and life after death. And that answer my friend is Jesus. Jesus is a real person. He lived on this earth to preach, teach, do miracles, and to die for our rotten sins, and then rose again. God rasied his Son Jesus from the dead. Death has been defeted. O death, where is your sting". You too can have this blessed hope and assurance of eternal life if only you would give your life over to the one who paid the price for something he did not deserve. Jesus did not deserve to die, we do.

If you study

youd find that the bible has stayed true to itself, dose not contradict itself and has remaind unchanged (except slightly with difrient translations but not with the scrolls) since they where originaly writen.
Bible history proves scientiicly mistries that the secular science comunity have marked unsolved as of yet.
The Koran talks about Ishmel being the one who was taken up to be sacrafised, but how come the name of God chaned then? If Abraham was there then everything else the bible said to that point was there....it would have to be. which means that the seed of women that God promiced that would crush satans head would still come.
Who is the messiah for the Muslems?
Do they have one?
No?
Alot of there religon when you trace history falls apart dramaticly.
Time and time again as science gose on they realize...wow, the bible was right about this city we never heard o otherwise being here....
how is it so full of balogni when even secular hastorians at the time of Jesus report the miricals and everything as well.

I dont only use one sourse.
Im not Ignorant.
I know the Truth, the truth set me free.

he who has ears let him hear.
God hardens the heart of those who dont want to accept the awnser God freely gives to those who ask.
Those who are wise love truth and knowladge.
Those who know truth know God.

A wise man knows that one cannot see in darkness
so one in darkness who clams to be wise is but a fool lying ot himself to belive he is ok when truly he is ensnared in a pit of false truths he threw himself in.
