Given the vast dimensions of our galaxy and even our universe, how does creation theory account for the time it takes light to travel from other stars and even neighbouring galaxies to reach our own Sol system?

Maybe more Christians should consider what's commonly called "old-Earth creationism" as a possibility. ;-) Check out the first link below.

That's a good question. I've heard several attempts to explain it. One says that God created the lights in the sky for signs and for seasons and so He caused the light from distant stars to already be reaching the earth when He first created everything. They say that Adam and Eve were created as adults and that the plants and animals were created full grown so it's no big deal for God to have created the stars in the sky with their light already reaching the earth.

It claims that the light was created en route to give the illusion of an old universe.

Not all of us as Christian believers, and Bible believers, buy into the idea that the earth is only 6000 years old. That is just someone's (Bishop Ussher's) mistaken idea.

Its a trick, god created the world with the light already on the way. I guess he is a deciever.
