The Ten Commandments were written on two stones, how much stone or metal would it take to write the entire Bible on? Who would ever try to carry that around?! You couldn't, you wouldn't even be able to lift it. He simply made it easier for us to use and understand. He brought it down to an earth for us and gave it to us, and after all those years it's still around. That's alot of years! Look how many copies there are,and in every language there is on earth.
In fact, there is no other book written that has ever fulfilled perfect prophesy except God's Word. It is Perfect, Righteous, Holy and contains God's Truth about Himself to us. God's Perfect Wisdom. No other author of any other book can say that. That should account for something.
Not to mention there is enough paper to make enough Bibles to go around the entire earth and then some. He could have done it any way He chose, but He chose to use "human form" to write. As witnesses and testimony of Himself. Sure He could have written with His own hand, but maybe He knew there would be more who wouldn't receive it and know the truth about Him and believe it unless there were witnesses to write it for Him. Much of what was done required two witnesses back then.
Besides, this way requires a person to have more faith and ensures that His Word will go out throughout the whole earth, which is His Will. There is enough people who dispute it the way it is, maybe God knew if He did it any other way, it would hinder some people from owning their own Bible and not hearing the Truth about Him at all.
If it were written like you say, it would been locked up years ago and preserved. No one would be allowed to even touch it, He would've still had to have a way for others to get it & read it, And it would eventually have to be put on paper so it could be in every person's hands to read , not kept it from any, and man would've had to be the one to do it & write it all down eventually, so having man put it in paper form was perfect from the start.

I believe you have asked an honest question that beggars an answer. However, I cannot tell you why....*in the beginning God did not make paper*. I suppose the only answer is that in every circumstance there must be a starting point; and *in the beginning*, at the starting point, there was no paper. Humankind was not as advanced as today. God has opened the doors throughout our history to learn and advance; but obviously it did not begin that way.
Another point, I believe God is in every one of us; therefore He doesn't need to be able to write. He has given us the Holy Spirit, which speaks to us. That man chose to commit history to words is not necessarily a product of God; however, I do believe the Holy Bible is the inspired word of God.

Why, he wrote one stone in the bible 2 times already.
Besides the Bible is the #1 best selling book EVER, its so far past best seller it would stay on every list at #1 forever beacuse so far since it became mass produced it has been.
What better way to let the world know then through the pages of the most persicuted, most sought after to distroy, most famous book.
Gods pretty smart. if it was just on stone youd have to travil to see it, but with the bible accesible anywhere in the world he made it a whole lot better and bigger then any stone could be.

The 10 commandments were written on stone tablets- twice! However, God chose to use men inspired by the Holy Spirit to write his word on paper. The words were copied by scribes down through the ages when the paper became old.

You make a sensible point but don't expect it to register with
the intractable deaf ears of the unmovable believer .
what happens when an immovable object meets an irresistable force? Maybe god was just as people and too stubborn to go with progress or he was just playing dumb because thousands of years ago he knew you would ask this silly question .....good question anyway .
peaceout

He does write. He wrote on the wall the doom of babylonian king with his Godly finger.
He wrote on tablets of stone which he cut out of the mountain himself.
