So my wife thinks this is just another place for people to "hook up" and has been on my case out it.
I think she's just paraniod.

This is a question and answer web site. Anyone who is on yahoo answers trying to hook up with someone on a personal level is in the wrong place and is abusing the purpose of this web site. Invite her to go online at yahoo answers and she will see for herself. Be good to her so she will not have trust issues with you when you are off line. Best wishes.

No, you're asking for guidance, insight and options from others. We are not imposing. It's your personal choice to engage or not, so therefore it's not Yahoo alone, nor is it their intention. It is the asker's mind wandering into the ambiguities if it is their choice to lean in the dating direction (Which is completely foolish.) We just give more possibility that the asker may have never thought of.
Personally I have no interest in "hooking up." I just enjoy helping others who make poor choices in trusting in their feeble heart more than what's rational. In a way I prevent a bad hook up such as online dating.

Depends on why you use it, i only found it yesterday as i was looking for info about why my ex girlfiend was jealous of a new person, even though shes seeing someone else.
Thats why i used this, and some of the answers are spot on.
In my limited opinion, its invaluable for the info i need on jealousy.
And i suppose i can see your wifes point, but isnt it a good thing that you can communicate or get advice on stuff for goodness knows people need it.

People do not come here to hook up...they come here to ask and give advice. I have never seen anyone except a couple of sickos make any attempt at trying to hook up.. your wife is paranoid if she thinks it happens on this site.
