Every Mass accomplishes Christ's original work of redemption in the world, no matter which of the approved rites might be used.
You have a right to express your preferences, just like everyone else.

It seems that those old enough to have grown up with the old Latin rite prefer this and likewise those born after Vatican ll changes so it really is a preferential concept.
The main reason why people like the Latin Mass is because they feel it is celebrated with more sacredness and respect than the Novus Ordo Mass; personally I like both myself and would attend either given the choice.
Pope Benedict has recently decreed that the Latin Mass can be celebrated by it`s followers without the permission of the local Bishop.

You are not alone...although my opinion may not count, since I'm a convert.
I attended my first Latin Mass a few weeks ago. Even though I'd like to go again...so I could follow along better...I was sorry we could not partcipate more. I think the Latin Mass was beautiful...and holy. I like that the priest faces the altar and the tabernacle instead of us...because he is one of us. I like it that we didn't pass the peace. I don't mind passing the peace but it seems an inappropriate time to do it. It should be done before Mass.
But overall, I love the Novus Ordo Mass...it is the one I converted into...the only one I've known.

no you`re not alone. It`s because I`ve never heard a latin mass, so it would be starnge for me, especially with english pronunciation.
Remember that language differences played a big part in the Orthodox/Catholic schizm (greek vs. latin). Misunderstandings went unresolved and suspicions grew because the two sides simply didn`t communicate well. Some Orthodox still see the language as a threat.
The point is that it`s not worth getting divided over.

when I examine the 1st area of your question, I at recent seen the SSPX. there is not any subject with you favoring the Tridentine Mass, yet your outward disdain for this is counterpart, the Novus Ordo, stinks of SSPX-"ism". Low and behold, when I clicked on your question to make certain on, I see you pointing out the SSPX! Do i understand my stuff or what? The SSPX is is excommunicated from the Catholic Church. they don't look to be "Catholic". maximum human beings think of the Church excommunicated the SSPX because of the fact it celebrates the Tridentine Mass. No. the reason the SSPX grow to be excommunicated grow to be because of the fact it authorizes annulments. a valid annulment can in basic terms come from the Vatican. Henry XIII grow to be yet another man or woman who grow to be excommunicated - for a similar reason - whilst he took it upon himself to annul his very own marriage. because of the fact you're new to Catholicism, the worst element you're able to do is fake you recognize extra with regards to the Catholic Mass than Catholics who've been attending it their finished life. perhaps you may desire to strengthen upon your very own wisdom of the historic past of the Catholic Mass customarily - then you definately will understand the Novus Ordo, and the actual Tridentine Mass. As a Catholic (not SSPX, I advise a "actual" Catholic), there is not something incorrect with you favoring and attending the Tridentine Mass. there is something so grossly out of whack mutually with your strategies-set because it pertains to the Novus Ordo. Favoring the Tridentine Mass does not advise you may desire to treat the Novus Ordo with disdain. might i prefer to advise, interior the main respected a danger words, the e book, "We Worship: A instruction manual to the Catholic Mass", by Father Oscar Lukefahr.

i don't think you are alone. in whatever way the mass is performed to me it is always beautiful. some do have their preferences whether it be the latin or novus ordo, for me the importance lays on the eucharist, worship and adoration that i feel should be upmost at every mass. i think both forms are beautiful and really see no reason for any of us to complain, we have the truth and the protection of the holy spirit forever. peace be with you and god bless.

So Jesus too, for the same period of time must be ALIVE!

15. BIG ROOMY CHAMBER: Close at hand, and big and airy for willing hands to come to the rescue. Providence was out to keep Jesus ALIVE!
16. STONE AND "WINDING SHEETS" HAD TO BE REMOVED: Only necessary if Jesus was ALIVE!
17. REPORT ON WINDING SHEETS. German Scientists who carried out experiments on the "Shroud of Turin" said that the heart of Jesus had not stopped functioning — that he was ALIVE!
18. EVER IN DISGUISE! Disguise not necessary if Jesus was "resurrected". Only necessary if he was ALIVE!
19. FORBADE MARY MACDALENE TO TOUCH HIM "Touch me not" for this reason that it would hurt; because he was ALIVE!
20. "NOT YET ASCENDED UNTO MY FATHER" In the language of the Jews, in the idiom of the Jews, he was saying, "I am not dead yet", in other words, "I am ALIVE!"
21. MARY MAGDALENE NOT AFRAID ON RECOGNISING JESUS. Because she had seen signs of life before. She was looking for a Jesus who was ALIVE!
22. DISCIPLES PETRIFIED ON SEEING JESUS IN THE UPPER-ROOM. All their knowledge about the "crucifixion" was from hearsay, therefore, they could not believe that Jesus was ALIVE!
23. ATE FOOD AGAIN AND AGAIN IN HIS POST 'CRUCIFIXION" APPEARANCES. Food only necessary if he was ALIVE!
24. NEVER SHOWED HIMSELF TO HIS ENEMIES. Because he had escaped death by the "skin of his teeth". He was ALIVE!
25. TOOK ONLY SHORT TRIPS. Because he was not resurrected, not spiritualised, but ALIVE!
26. TESTIMONY OF MEN AROUND THE TOMB: "Why seek ye the living among the dead?" — (Luke 24:4-5): That he is not dead, but ALIVE!
27. TESTIMONY OF ANGELS: ". . . angels who had said that he was ALIVE!" — Luke 24:23. Did not say, "resurrected" but the actual word uttered by the angels was "ALIVE!"

29. DR. PRIMROSE TESTIFIES: That the "water and the blood", when Jesus was lanced on the side, was on account of an upset in the nervous vessels because of the scourging by staves. Which was a sure sign that Jesus was ALIVE!
30. JESUS HAD HIMSELF FORETOLD THAT HIS MIRACLE WILL BE THE MIRACLE OF JONAH!
According to the Book of Jonah, Jonah was ALIVE, when we expected him to be DEAD;
similarly when we expect Jesus to be DEAD, he should be ALIVE AND NOT CRUCIFIED.
Qur’an 4:157: "That they (Jews) said boasting, "We killed Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah, but they (Jews) killed him not, nor crucified him..."
