Only like a bit of it, Maybe a Centimetre, came home and there was blood but couldn't find the end. Didn't seem to be showing any signs of distress.

Why don't you ask her, we don't know, we weren't there! Maybe it caught in something, but I think it's more likely she chewed it off due to an irritation. Not uncommon.
Do you regularly flea treat your dog - with a veterinary preparation? The irritation from fleas can cause dogs to self-mutilate.
I would get this checked by a vet. Just because she doesn't seem to be in any pain doesn't mean she isn't - dogs are good at hiding this. The end of her tail is missing, I think we can guarantee that it hurts.
