The thing about these sins is that they grow. They grow bigger until it is hard to get them under control. The price for being lazy might mean that you go poor, can't eat, etc.

Ex: a person who does not work will surely not eat.

Sloth is one of the 7 deadly sins. The seven deadly sins, more properly called the seven capital sins, are the sins to which we are most susceptible because of our fallen human nature. They are the tendencies that cause us to commit all other sins. They are called "deadly" because, if we engage in them willingly, they deprive us of sanctifying grace, the life of God in our souls.

The seven deadly sins are pride, covetousness (also known as avarice or greed), lust, anger, gluttony, envy, and sloth.

Peace and every blessing!

Sloth was actually a late addition to the "seven deadlies", replacing sadness, which was apparently only a serious temptation for monks. According to the original medieval list, the punishment for sloth was-- snakes! (They'll keep you busy.)
