I mean really. Christians, you can't tell me it wouldn't be boring without atheists to complain about.. And atheists, there wouldn't even be this category without the religious.
Imagine a category with just christians preaching to each other. Then imagine a category with just atheists telling each that god is non existent. This category is just funny because we all post funny and insulting things to each other. We complain about how much we hate each other but honestly who the heck would come to this category if it was boring. So why do you take anything on here seriously? Do any of you, Christians or atheists, actually think your going to convert anyone on yahoo answers?
It's kind of funny how we kind of need each other here to laugh or get mad at. Thoughts?

Oh I can totally dig the helping people thing. Sometimes the advice on here is good. But I'm talking specifically about this category. It's the political category. The liberals and Conservatives are always fighting and calling each other names. It would be a lot more dull there if they didn't have each other to fight with.

100% right. the arguments those Christians and atheists have with each other are rather entertaining even for those of us who don't fall into either category like myself. and some of the idiotic preachings coming from both ends are hilarious. It's better than daytime television.

Actually I need you to let me know that there are people out there that actually take evolution seriously. I went to public school, and I guess I assumed that everyone else thought it was full of holes. I was shocked to know that not only do atheists believe it, but I'm extremely shocked that some Christians do. But, if we didn't have each other, we could always argue with the Muslims. I think the reason why most people don't is because they are just too easy.

Sometimes some of the questions posed are genuine ones, and some are just plain right silly. I like to come on here to help others and try where possible not to mock anyone. Yes we do take it a little more seriously but we are all that way deep down.
I like to have a laugh and try help someone in the process

Occasionally I find a serious question and most of the time I enjoy myself and even use occasional sarcasms or dry humor. I don't believe that it's necessary to insult or bash others in order to have fun in the R&S. Some days it will be full of demons while the next day everyone will be angels. It really is a moody place.

It WOULD be funny . . . if religion wasn't ruining our world.
However, as an agnostic, I'd be perfectly happy to have the religions moved to the mythology section, where it belongs.
