It is indeed French and means "Pineapple"; it's pronounced "ann-ann-a s s. (The last 3 letters should appear together but Yahoo automatically censors it if I write it like that, even though the result is a perfectly acceptable English word meaning donkey!!)

a-na-nas in french it's pineapple
and also as a native arabic speaker i'll say
a-na-naas ( the same pronounce but it's longer ) in Arabic (Ø£ÙاÙاس) and it's also means pineapple
