What is the sweetest thing a woman could do or say to a man she loves very much?
I am 32 and he is a 34 year old Naval Officer posted on a ship until the end of the year.

Grow up!! How on earth can I offer him sex if he's on the ship???

When I was in boot camp my girlfriend sent me a small square of cloth from her sheets that we had "used" the day before I left. I thought that was really cool and unique. Maybe something that smells like you, a lock of hair, old shirt (he can put it in his pillow case) or the like. Or maybe a coupon book for when he gets home. Make it yourself with things like "bearer is entitled to one full day of sports without interruption". Get creative with it, get naughty if you want. Bottom line, it's sounds like he already has the love of a good woman, and that is gonna be hard to beat. Good luck and hope this helps.

As former Navy... in the pre-email days I would have killed for:
A letter, card, something that he can hold in his hands NOT from the division-printer... but something he knows that was LAST held by you !!
The text should be "I Love you and Miss you..." let him know what YOU are doing day to day (a touchstone to home) with a minimal amount of discussion of the "bad" or "annoying" in your homelife. Lipstick on paper, a hint of perfume/ cologne is good and makes the lads in his division or the Wardroom a touch jealous !!
You sound VERY thoughtful... also those of us at sea would like CD's and DVD's of current music and TV shows we're missing at sea. And... oh GAWD if you can make GOOD ship-able chocolate-chip cookies !!!!

You asked about a letter to him on the ship rather than e-mail. Go for the PAPER letter. I have ALL the letters my wife wrote me over my career in the Navy. She has all mine, including those cards/post cards I sent while away on jobs since I retired from the Navy. How many present day wives/husbands will be able to re-read the letters 10 - 20 years from now that they received while deployed via EMAIL?
I've heard women whine about I HAVEN'T GOTTEN AN EMAIL FROM MY HUBBY IN 3 DAYS! HE DOESN'T LOVE ME ANYMORE! gag. puke. Try waiting, and keeping up with questions/comments/problems when the mail takes 10-14 days to go one way. I was in Antarctica for 13 months and just under 7 months, I got no mail. Once a week I could send a 100 word 'ham-gram'...sort of like a telegram (we kept those, too).
So, pour out your heart in a PAPER letter, and mail it. He'll keep that a LOT longer than some e-mail.
I even have a bunch of letters (and pictures) I received when I was in Viet Nam as a single guy. My wife has no problems that some were from girls I had never met (one girl my wife and I talked to on the phone..I even go to say HOWDY to her hubby... and she even asked my wife and I to come spend the weekend with her and her hubby. We were visiting my in-laws in MO and she was in south west Texas... a bit of a drive. We couldn't do it.)

My husband told you sex. He meant sex. He's been deployed on THREE consecutive 1yr+ deployments (02-currently). You might like sending cute cards & nice little cookies with ingredients costing 20$ or more & all that crap, and sunscreen & little lip balm.... But the man wants you to be sexy. Get on the phone w/ him & tell him you can't stop thinking about his face btw your thighs. Trust me, he'll feel close you to. It's you who'd rather get the little box of sweet goodies & cards from him. Besides he's on a ship. Not like he's getting shot at, good for him.
You put thumbs down for people w/ this much experience? Give me a break. We've seen so many marriages come & go surely you're just another. Over 90% divorce rate in some combat units... You're stupid to shrug off good advice on what keeps people close together....
*Digital camera-- take pics & videos of his favorite place to be on planet earth, that would be, with you naked. *On the phone, moan a little & constantly go out of your way to let him know you're still hot for him even if it's been 15-20mos. How does he know you still want him? The rest of the crap doesn't really matter. What matters is he knows his girl is still head over heels for him & he's got someone trustworthy that madly LOVES him. Is this a special gift? Well, YEAH you wouldn't send this present to anyone else, even your own mom would you?

well writing a hand written letter is a good idea,now with all the tech stuff its really hard to find a hand written letter this days,the best you can do is tell him how much you love him and hope that he will be alright,come home in one piece

Buy him some sort of comical thing that means something to the both of you. Do you guys have some sort of inside joke? find something that looks like that inside joke and corroborate it into a letter using props and stuff. I would find that humorous, although when my wife sent me a card with a puppies head stretched I thought it was hilarious!

This is what I do, I will send him letters telling him how much he truly means to me, how I truly feel about him and how happy he makes me. spray it with some perfume and put kisses all over it. I also send him letters telling him all the nice and naughty things I want to do to him and him do to me spary it with perfume and put kisses all over it. I will take some sexy but not to revealing pics of myself, and then 1 totally totally revealing pics of one specific part of my body that is longing for his attention and switch body parts often. Thats what I do and have not had any complaints
