It is not that constant. sometimes i don't even notice that i feel down. When i'm around my friends it usually goes away but when i'm not around them it comes back.

Tell one of your girlfriends how you are feeling, don't count on guys for emotional support.(I am a guy :S) Anyway, that could lead to just more/worser feelings, unless it is your father. Don't look to the opposite sex for answers, I've seen terrible things happen to both sides who were looking for answers. I'd say just let someone know how your feeling. Just telling someone sometimes makes you feel better. If you are holding something inside, you need to let it out. In addition, doing things you like to do, staying busy with things can also help. If something bad has just happened in your life, sometimes you just need to express your feelings and get them out of your system. I've bottled up many things, and had no one to talk to I thought, but sometimes, you have to go outside your comfort zone, to get it out. Because the one person who can most greatly affect how you feel tomorrow is you, by taking the right steps today.

Be more positive, read a lot, listening to music is always soothing, get a hobby or a pet and exercising is always a good way to deal with feeling depressed - like long walks and just enjoy the scenery

Keep your activies and programs rolling one after another. I mean engage yourself in something. Get along with your friends/relatives and so forth. Watch good movies and when you are absolutely free then listen to soft and soothing music. I think you will never get depressed.

You should talk with your doctor who can run some tests to make sure it's not due to a chemical imbalance, and treat it if it is, or if it's not s/he can recommend a good therapist for you to speak with.

As above, found out why.

Is it because of something that has happened?

Does it happen this time of: month, year, season, etc?

Is it constant?
